The route planner gives it a 27:51 timer, but offers several route variants rather than one mandatory path. For a practical starting route, Method recommends clearing the left branch toward Noor, the Betrayer, before the upper-right branch toward Ancient Koros; both branches must be completed before the routes rejoin.
How the Cithrel’s Fall route works
The opening fork divides the dungeon between Noor and Ancient Koros. Method’s guide recommends taking the lower-left route to Noor first, then completing the upper-right route to Ancient Koros. The branches reconnect, and both are part of the run. A historical Prima Games guide spells the first boss’s name “Nook”; Method and the Fellowship Companion use “Noor,” so this guide uses Noor.
Method’s planner lists Standard routes by Nate and Leknok, an Advanced route by Leknok, and Eternal variants by CJ and Nate. Route options differ in pull count and intended difficulty. Treat them as alternatives, not as evidence that a particular route is required. Planner kill percentages can depend on selected modifiers: Method warns that Shadowlord kill percentages will be wrong unless the Shadowlord toggle is enabled. Match the planner settings to the run before comparing displayed counts. Route tools also change over time; Fellowtools reports a correction to Cithrel’s Fall enemy packs and patrols on 23 June 2026.
Trash casts to interrupt or control
Several trash abilities can disrupt a pull or threaten the group. Method’s detailed guide was last updated 15 October 2025, during Early Access; check the current game for any later changes to ability behavior.

- Tundra Stalker — Rapid Fire: turn the channel away from the group or stop it.
- Eldrin Sentinel — Shattering Barrier: interrupt or use crowd control to stop the cast.
- Deceitful Scholar — Rune of Detonation: interrupt or control this area-damage channel.
- Volatile Orb: it follows the furthest player. That player should kite it away from the group.
Boss 1: Noor, the Betrayer
Keep track of Razor Traps and respond to the boss’s target mechanics. When Betrayer’s Arrow selects a player, that player should separate from nearby allies until the delayed blast resolves. Cold-Blooded Twist alternates dangerous sections of the arena, so watch the floor and move out of the threatened area. Be ready for the subsequent party-wide Arcane Volley.
Boss 2: Ancient Koros
Ancient Koros is a spacing and positioning check. The key is to manage the Volatile Orb while avoiding or responding to the boss’s other attacks.

- Volatile Orb: it follows the furthest player. Keep its path away from the party.
- Shatterstrike: a frontal attack that destroys the orb. Avoid the frontal and account for the orb’s position.
- Converging Cold: a dangerous slow and damage-over-time effect. Avoid being caught in it where possible.
- Calamitous Fracture: a ground rift that requires a soak. Coordinate who will take it rather than leaving the response to chance.
Boss 3: Cithrel
Cithrel combines a group soak and follow-up blast with marked dashes, a party pull, and a tank-targeted frontal. Keep the group’s responses coordinated, especially when multiple mechanics overlap.
- Path to Oblivion: the party soaks the initial impact, then moves away to avoid the follow-up explosion. Method’s update notes say Shrinking Arena now contracts by 10% per Path of Oblivion cast, down from 15% in the documented change.
- Bloodhunter’s Mark and Bloodhunt: two players are marked, and Bloodhunt dashes between them and applies a bleed. Marked players should account for the dash path and avoid carrying it through the group.
- Maelstrom: this pulls the party toward Cithrel. Prima’s guide recommends coordinating it with Bloodhunt so the pull does not leave players poorly positioned for the dashes.
- Breath of Al’zerac: a tank-targeted frontal cone. Keep it pointed away from the rest of the group.
- Draconic Frenzy: begins at 50% health and increases ability frequency. Expect less time between mechanics and stay ready to repeat the group’s responses.
Fellowship update notes also state: “All Cithrel’s ability damage has been reduced by 10%.” The extracted update page does not establish a dependable publication date or confirm that these are the final live values, so treat them as documented tuning changes rather than a guarantee about every current build.
