How to unlock Esquie’s relationship scenes in-game
Relationship interactions take place at camp. When an available scene is offered, talk to the companion and accept the prompt to spend time together. Push Square reports that companion relationships reach level 7.

According to Gamer Guides’ relationship guide, progression begins after Verso joins and the Forgotten Battlefield in Act 2 has been cleared. Its practical advice is to return to camp after story dungeons and check in with companions, since further interactions may become available as the story advances. The guide describes Esquie’s progression as relatively straightforward: most rank-ups follow Old Lumiere, with later completion available in Act 3.
What happens in Esquie’s later scenes
Gamer Guides describes a rank 6 encounter in which Verso faces Francois alone. The guide says defeating Francois awards Urrie and enables underwater diving at dive spots. Because the fight requires Verso to fight solo, prepare his build before starting the encounter.
