When and where was the ceremony?
The Game Awards’ official video description says the ceremony was live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on December 11, 2025. Its video is titled “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025.” Watch the official announcement.

SEGA identified PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store as platforms. It described the packaged edition as PS5-only and listed April 24, 2025, as the package release date in Japan; availability and release details may differ by region.
The notice also said a free Thank You update was rolling out across platforms and regions on December 12, 2025. SEGA described additions including a new area, music, photo mode, a challenging boss, additional languages, and FSR 4 support on PC. Those are details of the publisher’s dated announcement, not confirmation of the update’s current rollout status.
