Per continuare a giocare su un nuovo PC o Mac, reinstalla The Sims 4 dalla libreria EA usando lo stesso account e trasferisci manualmente i file personali: in particolare la cartella saves. Installare il gioco da solo non porta con sé i progressi. La FAQ EA descrive esplicitamente il trasferimento da PC a Mac; per altre combinazioni di computer, la logica è la stessa, ma i percorsi possono variare.
Che cosa si trasferisce e che cosa si reinstalla
- Il gioco: scaricalo dalla libreria dell’app EA sul nuovo computer accedendo con lo stesso account EA usato per acquistarlo.
- I salvataggi: sono dati locali nella cartella
savese vanno copiati manualmente. La FAQ EA specifica che l’app EA non supporta l’archiviazione cloud per questi salvataggi. - Pack e add-on: sono associati all’account, ma potrebbero dover essere scaricati o installati di nuovo sul nuovo computer.
- Elementi della galleria personale e mod: le risposte della community EA indicano rispettivamente le cartelle
TrayeMods; non sono parte della procedura ufficiale per i salvataggi.
Come trasferire i salvataggi, passo per passo
- Sul vecchio computer, chiudi il gioco. Apri la cartella
Documenti > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Su Mac, raggiungila tramite Finder e la cartella Documenti. - Copia la cartella
saves. Puoi usare una chiavetta USB o un altro supporto portatile, come suggerisce EA, oppure trasferire i file con un altro metodo disponibile. Il supporto fisico non è un requisito del gioco. - Installa il gioco sul nuovo computer. Installa l’app EA, accedi con lo stesso account e scarica The Sims 4 dalla libreria. Se possiedi Pack, usa
Manage > Manage Add-onsnell’app EA per controllare quali risultano installati e scaricare quelli mancanti. - Crea la cartella di destinazione, se necessario. Avvia il gioco una volta e poi chiudilo: è un passaggio prudenziale che può far creare la cartella utente sul nuovo computer, non un requisito dichiarato nella FAQ EA.
- Copia
savesnella cartella utente del nuovo computer. La destinazione èDocumenti > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Se lì esiste già una cartellasaves, rinominala prima di sostituirla se vuoi conservarne il contenuto. - Avvia il gioco e verifica i progressi. Controlla che i salvataggi compaiano e si aprano. Se manca un Pack richiesto, verifica prima di tutto l’account EA e lo stato di installazione degli add-on.
La procedura EA è presentata per il passaggio tra le versioni PC e Mac. Se il nuovo computer usa una configurazione o un launcher diverso, il percorso della cartella utente può cambiare; individua la cartella effettivamente usata dal gioco prima di copiare i file.
Vuoi trasferire anche elementi della galleria e mod?
Per conservare le creazioni salvate nella libreria personale, le risposte degli utenti nei forum EA indicano la cartella Tray. Per mod e contenuti personalizzati indicano Mods. Copia solo ciò che vuoi mantenere, chiudendo il gioco prima del trasferimento; fai una copia di sicurezza dei file già presenti sul nuovo computer prima di sostituire o unire cartelle.
Queste indicazioni provengono dalla community EA, non dalla FAQ ufficiale sul trasferimento dei salvataggi. La compatibilità di mod e contenuti personalizzati tra sistemi o configurazioni differenti non è stabilita dalle fonti citate: se qualcosa non funziona, prova prima ad avviare il gioco senza quei contenuti.

Se i salvataggi o i Pack non compaiono
- Non trovi i salvataggi: controlla che
savessia dentro la cartellaDocumenti > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4effettivamente utilizzata dal gioco sul nuovo computer. - Il gioco si apre ma manca un contenuto: verifica che l’app EA sia collegata all’account che possiede il gioco e i Pack, poi controlla
Manage > Manage Add-ons. - Vuoi ripristinare i dati precedenti: se hai rinominato la cartella
savesgià esistente, puoi conservarla come copia e ripristinarla in seguito.
