Con el juego enfocado, prueba Alt + Enter: muchos juegos lo usan para alternar entre pantalla completa y ventana, pero no es un atajo universal. Si no funciona, cambia Window Mode en los ajustes de vídeo del juego. Si la pantalla está negra o no puedes abrir el menú, prueba a iniciar el título con -windowed, siempre que el juego admita ese argumento.
Prueba primero Alt + Enter
- Vuelve al juego y haz clic dentro para darle el foco.
- Mantén pulsada Alt y pulsa Enter una vez.
- Espera un segundo o dos a que cambie la imagen.
Si el juego admite el atajo, repetir la combinación suele devolverlo a pantalla completa. En algunos casos el cambio apenas se nota si la ventana ocupa casi toda la pantalla. Si no ocurre nada, no significa que haya un problema con el teclado: el juego puede no implementar esa combinación o no tener el foco.
Alt + Enter es una primera prueba útil, no una función garantizada para cualquier juego de Windows. Microsoft documenta la combinación para aplicaciones de consola y Epic la indica para Rocket League; el comportamiento en otros juegos depende del título.

Si el atajo no responde, pulsa Esc y busca una opción de pantalla en una ruta parecida a Settings/Options > Video, Display o Graphics. La opción puede llamarse Window Mode, Display Mode, Screen Mode o simplemente Fullscreen.

- Selecciona Windowed para usar una ventana con bordes.
- Si la ventana queda demasiado grande o pequeña, ajusta la resolución desde el mismo menú.
- Pulsa Apply, Confirm o Save. Si el juego lo pide, reinícialo para aplicar el cambio.
Los nombres y la ubicación varían entre títulos. Por ejemplo, Fortnite ofrece Fullscreen, Windowed Fullscreen y Windowed en Settings > Video > Display. Steam también recomienda revisar los ajustes de pantalla del juego cuando se necesita activar el modo ventana (guía de Steam).
Si no puedes abrir el menú: inicia el juego en ventana
Los argumentos de lanzamiento pueden ayudar si el juego arranca con una pantalla negra, una resolución inutilizable o un menú al que no puedes acceder. -windowed es un primer intento razonable, no un comando universal: el launcher transmite el argumento y el juego decide si lo reconoce. Algunos títulos usan otra sintaxis y otros ignoran estos parámetros por completo.

En Steam
- Abre Library y haz clic derecho en el juego.
- Selecciona Properties y abre la pestaña General.
- En Launch Options, escribe
-windowed. - Cierra las propiedades e inicia el juego.
Steam explica que las opciones de lanzamiento sirven para modificar ajustes del juego, pero los argumentos válidos dependen de cada título; consulta su guía sobre opciones de lanzamiento y la documentación del desarrollador. Cuando hayas corregido el problema, elimina el argumento si ya no quieres que el juego intente abrirse en ventana.
En Epic Games Launcher
- Abre Settings en Epic Games Launcher.
- Desplázate hasta Manage Games y expande la sección del juego.
- Activa Additional Command Arguments y escribe
-windowed. - Cierra los ajustes e inicia el juego.
Epic documenta esta ruta para Rocket League, pero el campo o su disponibilidad pueden variar. Si el juego tiene un launcher propio o abre a través de otro intermediario, quizá debas configurar el argumento en el launcher que realmente inicia el juego.

Usa la sintaxis indicada para el título concreto, no una lista de comandos aleatorios. Por ejemplo, SEGA recomienda -small_screen -windowed para ciertos problemas de visualización en Football Manager; el soporte de theHunter: Call of the Wild documenta la variante /windowed. Son ejemplos específicos, no alternativas garantizadas para otros juegos.
Si ves una pantalla negra o no puedes pulsar los botones
Prueba la secuencia en este orden:
- Con el juego enfocado, intenta Alt + Enter.
- Si la imagen sigue sin funcionar, cierra el juego y configura un argumento de ventana admitido por ese título en Steam, Epic u otro launcher compatible.
- Inicia el juego, abre los ajustes de vídeo y elige un modo y una resolución que funcionen con tu monitor.
- Aplica el cambio y reinicia el juego si es necesario; después quita el argumento de lanzamiento si deja de hacer falta.
Si el argumento no funciona, consulta el soporte del desarrollador antes de modificar archivos de configuración. Haz una copia de seguridad antes de editar uno y sigue instrucciones específicas del juego. Por ejemplo, Epic indica una modificación de resolution.xml para Alan Wake Remastered; ese procedimiento no debe extrapolarse a otros títulos (instrucciones de soporte).

Ventana normal, ventana sin bordes o pantalla completa

La terminología no es idéntica en todos los juegos: comprueba la descripción o prueba las opciones. El cambio de aplicación, el rendimiento y el comportamiento con varios monitores dependen del juego y del sistema. No hay un modo que garantice más FPS en todos los equipos. Windows 11 también dispone de optimizaciones para juegos en ventana compatibles con DirectX 10 y 11: son optimizaciones del sistema, no un interruptor global que convierta un juego a modo ventana.
Si la ventana aparece fuera de la pantalla
Esto sirve para recuperar una ventana normal; no cambia por sí solo el modo gráfico del juego:

- Usa Alt + Tab para seleccionar el juego.
- Pulsa Alt + Space y elige Move si aparece el menú.
- Usa las flechas o mueve el ratón para devolver la ventana al escritorio y confirma con Enter.
Si el juego está en una ventana convencional en otro monitor, también puedes probar Windows + Shift + flecha izquierda o derecha para moverla entre pantallas.

Si el cambio sigue sin funcionar
- Comprueba que el juego tiene el foco antes de usar el atajo.
- Busca la opción de modo de pantalla en los ajustes del propio título; puede que no admita cambio con una tecla.
- Verifica en el soporte del desarrollador qué argumentos de lanzamiento admite. No todos reconocen
-windowed. - Si el juego pasa por un launcher adicional, revisa en cuál deben configurarse las opciones.
- Si el problema es una imagen estirada, elige una resolución que conserve la relación de aspecto del monitor.
- Si nada de eso funciona, busca instrucciones del desarrollador para restablecer la configuración gráfica. Evita editar archivos o reinstalar el juego antes de probar estas opciones más sencillas.
