For a 24/7 YouTube Live stream made from uploaded videos, choose a cloud playout service: upload files, arrange a loop or schedule, and let the provider stream them without keeping a local encoder running. If “custom RTMP” means sending a feed from OBS or another encoder to a managed RTMP server, that is a separate workflow. Castr documents both workflows; Gyre focuses on cloud playback for YouTube; Castloop advertises cloud looping and custom RTMP. StreamNeo is the first option to consider for YouTube-only cloud looping: it runs continuously from the cloud, accepts uploaded video up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
First decide what “custom RTMP” means
These services can be used in two different ways. You may upload finished videos for a cloud service to play as a YouTube Live broadcast, or send a live feed from an external encoder to a managed RTMP service. The phrase “custom RTMP” can describe either the destination for a service’s output or the input URL and stream key that an encoder sends to a server.
| Workflow | What sends the video? | What the cloud service does |
|---|---|---|
| Uploaded-file playout | Previously recorded video files uploaded to the service | Plays the files or playlist as a live stream, potentially on a continuous loop |
| Managed RTMP ingest | A live feed from an external encoder such as OBS, vMix, or Wirecast | Receives the encoder’s RTMP or RTMPS feed and distributes it to destinations |
| Cloud playout to custom RTMP | Uploaded prerecorded files | Plays them from the cloud and sends the resulting stream to a custom RTMP destination |
YouTube explains that an encoder converts video into a digital format for streaming. In a cloud playout workflow, the provider performs that streaming role; a separate local encoder is not necessarily involved. YouTube also notes that verified encoder products listed on its help page are not made by YouTube. YouTube’s encoder guidance

Gyre: YouTube-focused prerecorded streaming
Gyre’s documented path is to upload video files, make a playlist, connect a YouTube account, and run the playlist continuously from its cloud. YouTube identifies Gyre among cloud-based tools for streaming prerecorded video. The available information here does not confirm arbitrary custom RTMP destination support, so do not assume it can send its output to any RTMP URL. Gyre · YouTube’s encoder guidance
Castr: the clearest fit when both workflows matter
Castr documents prerecorded video playout and custom RTMP destinations: upload MP4 files, schedule a broadcast or loop a playlist, and direct the stream to YouTube or a custom RTMP destination. Separately, its managed RTMP server accepts an external encoder’s RTMP or RTMPS feed and distributes the received stream. These are distinct capabilities; clarify whether you need to send uploaded-file output to a destination, ingest a live encoder feed, or both. Castr states that continuous 24/7 infinite loop mode is available on Premium and higher plans. Playlist size, concurrent prerecorded streams, storage, file duration, and other limits vary by plan, so check the current plan details before choosing. Castr

Castloop: check vendor claims against your requirements
Castloop’s vendor page says it supports media uploads, playlists, continuous looping, automatic restarts, YouTube, and custom RTMP. Those statements establish what the vendor advertises, not independently verified compatibility or uptime. Confirm the exact destination workflow and current operational limits with the provider before relying on it for a scheduled channel. Castloop
Choose by the job, not by the label
- You only need prerecorded videos to run continuously on YouTube: start with StreamNeo for cloud playback with a flat price per slot across supported upload quality, or compare Gyre and Castr’s YouTube-focused playout. Confirm playlist, storage, and scheduling limits against your needs.
- You need to send prerecorded output to a custom RTMP destination: Castr explicitly documents that workflow. Castloop advertises custom RTMP, but its compatibility and reliability are not independently established here. Gyre’s arbitrary custom destination support is not confirmed.
- You already have an encoder producing a live feed: investigate managed RTMP ingest rather than a file-looping feature. Castr documents an RTMP server that receives an external encoder feed. Confirm support for your encoder, RTMP versus RTMPS, destination count, and plan limits directly.
- You need both prerecorded playout and a separate encoder ingest: Castr documents both, but determine whether the provider can run the required workflows simultaneously on the plan you select. Do not infer this from the fact that both features exist.
What to verify before you commit
Cloud playout removes the need to keep a local encoder online, but it does not remove the need to check the service’s operational and policy fit. Plan details can change, and the available feature descriptions do not establish comparable pricing, independent uptime, or YouTube monetization outcomes.

- Destination and direction: Ask whether custom RTMP is an output destination for uploaded video or an input endpoint for an external encoder. Confirm the exact RTMP server URL and stream key workflow.
- Loop and scheduling: Verify whether continuous looping is included in your plan, whether scheduled start times are supported, and how the service behaves when a playlist ends or a file fails.
- Limits: Check allowed file formats, maximum file size and duration, storage, playlist size, number of concurrent streams, and any quality or resolution restrictions.
- Recovery and operations: Confirm what happens after an upstream or destination disconnect, whether restart is automatic, and what monitoring and support are included. Vendor statements are not a substitute for independent reliability evidence.
- YouTube policies and rights: Only stream material you have the rights to use. A continuous stream does not itself establish copyright compliance, eligibility for monetization, or recommendation performance. Review YouTube’s current live-stream and monetization rules for your channel and content.
