The Corsair Galleon 100 SD puts a genuine Elgato Stream Deck into a wired mechanical gaming keyboard. It is a clever, unusually useful control surface—but at $349.99 on Corsair’s US product page, it makes sense only if you will use those controls regularly. Streamers, creators and shortcut-heavy power users should take a close look; buyers who just want a good keyboard should save their money.
The short version
The Galleon 100 SD combines a full-size-style mechanical keyboard with 12 customizable LCD keys, a small LCD display and two dials. The Stream Deck section sits on the right, where a conventional keyboard’s number pad would normally be. That puts scene changes, app commands, macros and other controls within reach without taking up space with a separate Stream Deck.
The keyboard has pre-lubed Corsair MLX Pulse linear switches, hot-swap support, a gasket mount and six layers of sound dampening. Its 8,000Hz polling specification and FlashTap feature may appeal to competitive players, but neither guarantees a perceptible advantage—and game, anti-cheat and tournament rules can restrict macros or SOCD-related features.

What you get for $349.99
The Galleon is a wired USB keyboard measuring approximately 159 × 448 × 42mm and weighing about 1,392g (3.1lb), according to Corsair’s US product page. Corsair lists Windows and macOS support, though specific software and plugin features may differ by platform. The US price is a captured listing, not a guarantee: check the product page for current price, stock, tax and shipping.

- Gaming features: 8,000Hz polling and FlashTap, Corsair’s SOCD-related input feature. These are specifications and options, not a promise of faster play or universal permission in competitive games.
One layout detail matters more than the “full-size” shorthand suggests: the Stream Deck module takes the space where a conventional number pad would sit. If you regularly enter figures, use numpad shortcuts in games or rely on that layout for work, this is not a straightforward full-size replacement.
Why the integration is a genuinely good idea
A separate Stream Deck can sit wherever it best fits your setup, but it also takes up desk space and may leave you reaching away from the keyboard. The Galleon places its labeled controls beside the typing area. That proximity can make secondary actions feel more immediate, and a control you can see may be easier to remember than a keyboard shortcut you have to keep in your head.

That is the strongest case for the product: not simply having extra buttons, but having a visible, configurable control surface built into a device you already use. In its review, The Verge highlighted the appeal of combining a good keyboard with a Stream Deck whose controls are closer to where you type. It is a persuasive design idea, though whether the fixed placement suits you depends on your desk and habits.
Stream Deck profiles can give the same keys different jobs for different games or apps. Folders can group less-used actions, while multi-actions can chain compatible steps. Plugins add integrations, but a profile does not create useful automation by itself: you still need to choose actions, set them up and confirm that the relevant software supports them.
How good is it as a keyboard?
The Galleon has a substantial mechanical-keyboard feature set independent of its Stream Deck hardware: linear switches, hot-swap support, a gasket-mounted build and sound dampening. Independent reviews from Tom’s Hardware, PC Gamer and TechRadar discuss the typing experience positively. As with any switch feel or sound assessment, personal preference and the conditions of each review matter.

Hot-swap support offers room to change switches, but does not make the board wireless or restore the missing number pad. And 8,000Hz polling is best treated as a technical capability rather than a deciding reason to buy: the specification alone cannot show that you will notice a benefit in your games. If your priority is keyboard feel, layout, wireless use or value, compare the Galleon against keyboards chosen for those needs before paying extra for controls you may not use.

Streaming
Assign keys to actions such as switching scenes, muting a microphone, toggling a camera, launching an application or triggering an overlay. A multi-action might combine several supported steps. The exact workflow depends on your streaming software, installed plugins and profile configuration; these features are not necessarily ready to go automatically when you connect the keyboard.
Editing and creative apps
In a compatible setup, keys and dials could offer shortcuts for changing tools, controlling playback or exporting, while a dial might handle zoom, brush size or timeline navigation. Elgato’s Marketplace lists integrations and utilities for applications and services including Photoshop, Philips Hue, VTube Studio and YouTube-related tools. Treat these as examples, not guarantees: plugin support and behavior can change, and a particular integration may not offer the same features on every platform.

Games and everyday productivity
Players of strategy, simulation or other command-heavy games may appreciate labeled controls for repeated actions, menus or communications. For general desktop use, assign app launchers, meeting controls, mute and volume, window-management actions or frequently used commands. The practical benefit is reduced friction—but only after you have built a profile that matches what you actually do.
Keep ordinary key remapping separate from macros that automate multiple actions and from SOCD/FlashTap behavior. Before using any of these in ranked play, a league or a tournament, check that setting’s current rules and your game’s anti-cheat policy. The keyboard’s support for a feature is not proof that every game or competition allows it.

- Elgato Stream Deck app: Use it for custom Stream Deck profiles, LCD-key assignments, folders, multi-actions and plugins. Corsair says custom profiles require the Stream Deck software; a default onboard profile is available if the software is not detected.
Do not assume iCUE is the single control center for this keyboard. PC Gamer’s review specifically describes the keyboard configuration as going through Web Hub rather than iCUE. The extra setup is manageable for someone who likes tailoring a control panel, but it is a real cost in time and complexity if you expected one app and plug-and-play macros.

- Connect the keyboard directly to a compatible USB port. If you are troubleshooting detection, try a direct motherboard connection instead of an unpowered hub.
- Open Corsair Web Hub for keyboard settings, and install or open the Elgato Stream Deck app for the Stream Deck controls.
- Update software and firmware before spending time building profiles. Follow Corsair’s product-specific guidance if an update or reset causes problems.
- Confirm the Stream Deck section appears in the Elgato app. Create or select a desktop, game or application profile; assign actions to the 12 keys and configure the dials.
- Add folders or profile switching if one page is not enough. Install plugins only from sources you trust, and check that each supports your operating system and application.
- Test profile switching with the target app or game. Save or export profiles where the software allows so they can be restored after a reinstall or computer change.
If the keyboard types normally but Stream Deck controls do not respond, troubleshoot the two systems separately: check that the Elgato app is installed and running, inspect the active profile and permissions, reconnect the device, and test the default onboard profile. If a profile will not switch automatically, check that the target application is detected and assigned correctly. A failed plugin may be incompatible with your platform or app version. If the keyboard is missing from the Corsair utility you expected, try Web Hub rather than assuming iCUE is the right path. Corsair’s support and guide index is the product-specific place to check for current recovery instructions.

A separate Stream Deck Plus is one possible alternative for buyers who want dials and a dedicated control surface, paired with a keyboard chosen for its own merits. Its price changes, so compare current listings rather than relying on review-era figures. A smaller Stream Deck or an ordinary keyboard with macro keys may suit buyers who need fewer controls, a traditional number pad or a simpler setup.
Who should buy it?
Consider it if you stream or create regularly, rely on many application shortcuts, want visible labeled controls near your typing position, have limited desk space, and are willing to spend time building profiles. It is most compelling when you would otherwise buy both a premium mechanical keyboard and a Stream Deck-like controller, and value integration over independent placement.
Skip it if you want the best keyboard for the money, need wireless connectivity or a conventional number pad, already own a good keyboard and Stream Deck, frequently change keyboards, or dislike browser-based configuration and multiple companion apps. It is also a poor fit if you expect custom controls to work without profile setup, or if your competitive game or tournament does not permit the features you intend to use.
Verdict
The Corsair Galleon 100 SD is a monster of good ideas: it brings a real Stream Deck control surface closer to the keyboard and pairs it with a capable mechanical board. But the integration is worth paying for only when you will use it. At the US-listed $349.99 price, the number-pad trade-off and split software stack are hard to overlook. For streamers, creators and power users who will build and use profiles week after week, it is a distinctive all-in-one option. For everyone else, a conventional keyboard—or a keyboard and separate control pad chosen to fit your setup—is the more flexible choice.
