TechRadar lists it at $349.99 / £309.99 / AU$599, although those are review-listed prices rather than a live checkout quote. The value depends less on typing alone than on whether you will regularly use the built-in controls.
What the GALLEON 100 SD actually is
CORSAIR positions the GALLEON 100 SD as a full-size mechanical gaming keyboard with Stream Deck functionality built into the right side. According to CORSAIR, that control area contains 12 LCD keys, two push-function dials and a 5-inch full-color display. The controls can launch commands, switch profiles and show information.
That makes it a keyboard-plus-control-surface product rather than a conventional keyboard with a screen. CORSAIR Vice President and General Manager of Gaming Peripherals Tobias Brinkmann called it “a new era of input that our community has been clamoring for.” That is promotional language, so the practical question is how often you would use the controls.
Why the price is difficult to justify for ordinary keyboard buyers
TechRadar’s review lists the GALLEON 100 SD at $349.99 in the United States, £309.99 in the United Kingdom and AU$599 in Australia. Those figures can change by retailer, region and date; the cited review is not a current price or stock check.

- Elgato Stream Deck Integration: Customizable Stream Deck keys and dials give you precise, real-time command of your entire gaming setup—without adding another device to your desk
- Streamline your play: React faster and stay focused in-game, whether you're navigating menus with hotkeys or executing complex combos with Multi Actions
- Go beyond the game: Get instant, one-touch control of apps like Discord and Spotify without leaving your game using plugins from Elgato Marketplace
- Dynamic LCD screen: Keep tabs on everything from hardware performance to your favorite Twitch channels in real time on a customizable full-color 5" display
- Uncompromising speed and precision: Secure your competitive advantage thanks to 8,000Hz hyperpolling and FlashTap SOCD for ultra-responsive inputs and advanced movement techniques
For that amount, the Stream Deck integration is the main reason to consider the keyboard. If you primarily want a mechanical keyboard for games and everyday typing, you are paying for a control surface you may not need. The premium is especially hard to justify if you already own a Stream Deck, because the keyboard duplicates much of that device’s role rather than adding an entirely new category of function.
What you get beyond the integrated controls
CORSAIR lists several high-end keyboard features:
- Up to 8,000Hz polling.
- FlashTap simultaneous-opposite-cardinal-direction (SOCD) handling.
- Pre-lubed MLX Pulse switches.
- An aluminum frame and gasket mounting.
- Six layers of sound dampening.
These are CORSAIR’s specifications and design claims, not independent laboratory findings. They indicate a premium construction target, but they do not by themselves establish that the keyboard will improve your game performance or provide a better typing experience than a less expensive mechanical model.

- Optimized for Gaming, Streaming, and Daily Work: Pre-programmed hotkeys (F1-F5) for control over Xbox Game Bar and recording functions. A multi-function wheel allows for intuitive media and lighting adjustments. All keys are fully macro-programmable
The layout trade-off: Stream Deck controls versus a numpad
Although the GALLEON 100 SD is described as full-size, TechRadar reports that the Stream Deck section occupies the usual numpad area. A profile swap can provide numpad functionality, but that is not the same as having a permanently available, conventional numpad.
Choose the GALLEON layout if you prefer dedicated macro, app and status controls on the right side. Be cautious if your work depends on frequent numeric entry, accounting software or a familiar full-size layout without profile changes.

Note: Screen images/GIFs and date/time calibration require software installation under Windows/macOS and a wired connection
- Hot-Swappable Custom Keyboard: The VSD K1 Pro wired macro shortcut keyboard is equipped with a hot-swappable PCB compatible with 3-pin or 5-pin switches. No soldering is required, letting you easily replace switches and keycaps for a fully personalized typing experience (keycap/switch puller included). - Gasket Mount & Advanced 5-Layer Dampening Structure: This macro pad keyboard uses an advanced structure with extended integrated silicone pads and PCB single-key slotting to optimize resilience and stability for a softer, more elastic feel. The 5-layer sound-dampening fills gaps between the PCB, plate, and switches, effectively reducing cavity noise and delivering a pure, clean sound with every keystroke
Software setup is part of the ownership cost
TechRadar reports configuring keyboard-side settings in CORSAIR Web Hub and configuring the integrated Stream Deck through the desktop Stream Deck app. Older CORSAIR hardware may also require iCUE, depending on the rest of your setup.
That separation matters. You are managing a keyboard and a Stream Deck in one chassis, but not necessarily in one configuration interface. Your exact software requirements can differ according to the other CORSAIR products you use. Buyers who want a single, minimal utility should account for this before purchasing.

Who should buy it?
It makes sense for streamers and control-heavy setups
The GALLEON 100 SD is most defensible when you will use the LCD keys, dials and screen every day for scene changes, application shortcuts, profile switching or other control workflows. Integrating those functions into the keyboard can reduce desk clutter and keep frequently used commands under your hand.
It is a poor fit for a keyboard-only upgrade
If your priority is switches, latency, sound or a standard full-size layout, the integrated Stream Deck may add substantial cost without solving your main problem. The same caution applies to existing Stream Deck owners: TechRadar specifically questions the value of paying again for overlapping controls.

Consider your numpad and software habits
Frequent numpad users should test whether profile-based access is acceptable. Also decide whether configuring CORSAIR Web Hub and the Stream Deck app fits your tolerance for managing separate settings tools.
How it compares with another new CORSAIR keyboard
CORSAIR’s CLIPPER PRO MINI 60, announced at Computex on June 2, 2026, shows a different design direction. It is a compact 60% Hall Effect keyboard rather than a full-size keyboard with an integrated Stream Deck.
| Feature | GALLEON 100 SD | CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Full-size keyboard with integrated Stream Deck controls | Compact 60% Hall Effect keyboard |
| Specialized controls | 12 LCD keys, two push dials and a 5-inch display, according to CORSAIR | No integrated Stream Deck is stated in the announcement |
| Gaming features | Up to 8,000Hz polling and FlashTap, according to CORSAIR | Rapid Trigger, FlashTap SOCD and adjustable actuation |
| Actuation range | Not stated in the cited GALLEON announcement | 0.2mm–3.8mm, according to CORSAIR |
| Switch rating | Not stated in the cited GALLEON announcement | 100 million keystrokes, according to CORSAIR |
The CLIPPER PRO MINI 60’s 0.2mm–3.8mm actuation range and 100-million-keystroke rating apply to that separate model, not to the GALLEON 100 SD. It is therefore not a direct substitute: one emphasizes integrated controls and a larger layout, while the other emphasizes compact Hall Effect gaming features.
Verdict: expensive, but not automatically overpriced
At TechRadar’s listed $349.99 / £309.99 / AU$599, the GALLEON 100 SD is expensive for a conventional mechanical keyboard. Its price becomes more understandable only when you treat the integrated Stream Deck as the product’s central feature. Streamers, creators and players who will actively use the 12 keys, dials and display may value the consolidation. Keyboard-only buyers and people who already own a Stream Deck should look elsewhere unless the one-piece design solves a specific desk or workflow problem.
