Fix 1: Repair CorelDRAW from Programs and Features

Corel’s repair process is the preferred solution because it restores missing or damaged components from the application’s own installation source.

1. Close CorelDRAW and any other Corel applications.
2. Press Windows key + R.
3. Type:

3. Select it and choose Uninstall/Change, Change, or Modify.

How to tell whether Repair worked

Fix 3: Check whether antivirus quarantined the file

Security software can remove or quarantine an application file. The presence of a quarantine event does not by itself prove that crlui91.dll is malicious, and a missing-file message does not prove that antivirus caused the problem.

Check Windows Security before restoring anything:

Fix 6: Check compatibility with current Windows

A legacy 32-bit CorelDRAW program can run on 64-bit Windows through Windows’ 32-bit compatibility layer. That does not convert its private DLLs into 64-bit files, and it does not make crlui91.dll part of Windows.

A current 64-bit Windows installation can therefore legitimately need a 32-bit Corel DLL when running an older 32-bit application. The DLL must match the application and expected Corel release.

If only an old Corel program fails while newer Corel applications work:

1. Right-click the CorelDRAW shortcut.
2. Choose Properties.
3. Open the Compatibility tab.
4. Select Run this program in compatibility mode for only if you know the older release requires it.

Fix 7: Repair Windows components with DISM and SFC

Use Windows repair commands when Windows itself has broader problems, such as missing system files, damaged servicing components, or several unrelated applications failing. These commands are secondary for crlui91.dll because the file belongs to CorelDRAW, not Windows.

2. Search for Command Prompt.

Repeating these commands without recording what changed rarely helps with an application-specific file. Fix 8: Check drivers only when the symptoms point to graphics problems
