The hounds want a Snowdeer Bone. Isla asks for it in A Direwolf Delicacy, and it comes from Snowdeer, which are common across Norgan. The fastest approach is to head north from the Norgandian Settlement, follow the river’s south edge, defeat a Snowdeer, and loot the bone from its body.
What Isla wants
For A Direwolf Delicacy in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the item Isla is after is the Snowdeer Bone. VGC’s quest guide, written by Dave Aubrey and dated 8 October 2026, identifies it as the correct treat for the hounds and confirms that returning it to Isla completes the quest.

Where to find Snowdeer
Snowdeer are native to Norgan and, according to the same guide, are common across the region. You do not need a fixed spawn point to get started. The guide offers one practical place to begin:
- Leave the Norgandian Settlement and travel north.
- Follow the path alongside the river’s south edge.
- Keep an eye out for Snowdeer along the route and engage one.
The guide presents this route as a suggestion rather than a guaranteed location. If you do not see Snowdeer on your first pass, the wider region is where the guide says they are common.

Getting the bone
Once you have defeated a Snowdeer:
- Examine the Snowdeer’s body to inspect the corpse.
- Loot the Snowdeer Bone from the carcass. VGC describes the bone as a rare item when picked up, so it may take more than one animal.
- Return to Isla and hand over the bone to complete A Direwolf Delicacy.
If you want to work it out yourself
You do not need the answer to start. Isla gives a hint after each incorrect item you offer. VGC reports that wrong offerings carry no penalty, so you can keep guessing until she reveals what the hounds want. Read her hints as a guide to the item’s category, then go looking for the answer in the field rather than offering every item in your inventory.
