Is Delta Force a Battlefield-style game?
Yes, particularly in Warfare, its large-team PvP mode. The official Delta Force overview describes first-person combat across land, sea and air, with vehicles and offense-and-defense objectives. Xbox Wire describes Warfare as 32-versus-32 PvP. Those features create a clear point of comparison with Battlefield’s large-scale combat, though they do not make the games identical.

Battlefield 6 provides a useful reference point: EA groups four modes under its All-Out Warfare category. That broad framing overlaps with the kind of large-scale play Delta Force offers, but each game has its own mode structure and feel.
What makes this reviewer prefer Delta Force?
The review behind the title praises Delta Force’s gunplay, weapon customization and differentiated specialists. It also compares one of the game’s objective modes to Battlefield’s Breakthrough. Those are the reviewer’s impressions, rather than a controlled head-to-head test or a claim of universal consensus. If you enjoy building a weapon to suit your playstyle and choosing a specialist with a distinct role, those are the specific strengths that underpin the favorable verdict.

What modes does Delta Force include?
Xbox Wire lists four distinct modes: Warfare, Operations, PvE Raid and Black Hawk Down. Warfare is the mode most directly comparable to Battlefield’s large-team PvP. The other modes broaden the package beyond that comparison; the available descriptions establish that they exist, but do not provide enough detail here to make a full mode-by-mode assessment.
Is Delta Force free, and where can you play it?
Xbox Wire describes Delta Force as free to play. It reported that the game launched on Xbox Series X|S on August 19, 2025. A later Xbox Wire feature, published September 25, 2026, says the game expanded from PC to mobile and Xbox. These reports establish those platform milestones, not an exhaustive current platform list; check the official Delta Force site for current availability in your region.

Who should try it?
Delta Force is a sensible pick if you want free-to-play, team-based combat with vehicles, large objectives and customization, and you are open to a Battlefield-like alternative. The title’s “best Battlefield game” claim is best read as one reviewer’s enthusiastic shorthand: the games share some appealing ingredients, but the sources do not establish that Delta Force is objectively superior, nor do they settle questions of current balance, technical performance or which game will feel better to you.
