These are UTC times; the corresponding local time depends on your time zone. The official page also promoted the KC-17 and a Stinger collaboration pass as arriving July 3. Those were early content dates, not the season update date.
A July 7, 2025, Insider Gaming guide cited 02:00 UTC as its expected start time based on previous season launches and cautioned that the estimate could change. Garena’s schedule, rather than that earlier estimate, is the source for the listed PC and mobile times.

What new maps came with Season 5 Break?
Break added two maps for different modes: Tide Prison for Operations and Cyclone for Warfare. The official season page describes their settings and gameplay, while Insider Gaming’s guide also identifies the pair.
Tide Prison: Operations breakout and extraction
Tide Prison is an isolated prison island built around breakout missions. Operators may spawn in prison uniforms without their gear, then follow different escape instructions before recovering a loadout. Underwater exploration and extraction make swimming part of the map’s escape-and-survival loop.

Cyclone: Warfare across land and sea
Cyclone is an island battlefield for Warfare, with land, sea and air combat. Its aquatic terrain, dynamic weather and swimming create routes and encounters beyond the ground-based fight; the season page also promotes a two-person Jet Ski for the map.
How does water combat and swimming work?
Break introduced a swimming system that lets players move upward and downward in water. Underwater movement is limited by a breath meter: when it runs out, the player loses health until they are downed. That makes submersion a tactical choice rather than a risk-free way to cross the map.

The system serves the maps differently. Tide Prison uses underwater exploration as part of its breakout and extraction setting, while Cyclone folds swimming and aquatic traversal into a combined-arms island battlefield.
Did Season 5 Break add a solo campaign mode?
Insider Gaming reported that Break added a mode for playing missions in the Black Hawk Down campaign solo. Garena’s available Season 5 page does not independently confirm that feature, so this specific addition is supported here by the guide rather than the official season page.

What else did Season 5 Break add?
Garena’s season page also lists the Tempest assault operator, Compound Bow, KC-17 assault rifle and collection-room system among Break’s additions. The KC-17 was promoted with a July 3 date, before the July 9 season update.

No. Break launched in July 2025, and it is not the current season as of October 5, 2026. Garena’s September 8, 2026 announcement says the later season, Reorientation, was then live.
