Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred can be streamed through GeForce NOW when you launch the supported PC version of Diablo IV with the correct game and expansion entitlement. The expansion launched on April 28, 2026 and requires the base game. GeForce NOW supplies the cloud hardware and streaming; it does not automatically grant ownership of either the game or its downloadable content.
The safest route is to use the Battle.net, Steam, or Xbox PC Game Pass account that provides the copy of Diablo IV you launch in GeForce NOW. A PlayStation or Xbox console purchase should not be assumed to unlock the PC or cloud version.
What is available through GeForce NOW?
Blizzard lists Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred as released on April 28, 2026 and requiring the Diablo IV base game. The expansion continues the Mephisto storyline, adds the Skovos region, two playable classes and additional endgame content. The earlier Vessel of Hatred expansion, released in October 2024, is a different product. Check Blizzard’s current game page for editions and requirements: https://diablo4.blizzard.com/en-us/.
NVIDIA supports Diablo IV on GeForce NOW through connected PC storefronts. NVIDIA’s launch coverage also discusses Lord of Hatred, but it does not establish a separate August 18, 2026 GeForce NOW listing or rollout. In practice, search for Diablo IV, choose the relevant storefront version and let the connected account provide the expansion entitlement.

GeForce NOW describes its service as connecting supported game stores and subscriptions so members can stream games they own or can access through a linked subscription: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/. You are streaming NVIDIA’s cloud computer; you are not buying the DLC from NVIDIA.
What you need before launching
- The Diablo IV base-game entitlement.
- A Lord of Hatred entitlement, unless your verified subscription includes it.
- The matching Battle.net, Steam or Xbox account.
- A GeForce NOW account and a membership level that meets your session and quality needs.
- A supported device, controller or keyboard-and-mouse setup, and a stable internet connection.
NVIDIA lists support for Windows, macOS, Chromebook, Linux beta, Android, iOS/iPadOS, Steam Deck, selected handhelds, TVs and streaming devices. Support depends on the current app or browser, device requirements, controller compatibility and region; consult https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/unsupported-device/.

How to play the Battle.net version
- Open the GeForce NOW app or browser on a supported device and sign in to your NVIDIA account.
- Search for Diablo IV, then choose the Battle.net version if multiple storefront choices appear.
- Start the session and sign in to the Battle.net account that owns the base game and Lord of Hatred.
- Wait for any cloud-side game update or first-run setup to finish, then check the expansion from the game’s menu.

How to use Xbox PC Game Pass
NVIDIA documents a Game Pass route for supported Battle.net games, including Diablo IV. The current support wording refers to an eligible Xbox Game Pass subscription, but the catalog and expansion treatment can change by tier and region. Verify that your account actually includes the base game and the required expansion entitlement before relying on this route.
- Confirm that the Xbox account has an eligible Game Pass subscription and that Diablo IV and the required content are available in your region.
- Outside the GeForce NOW app, open https://account.battle.net/connections and link the Xbox and Battle.net accounts.
- Open GeForce NOW and search for Diablo IV.
- Choose Mark as Owned, then select Xbox Game Pass as the ownership source.
- Launch the game, sign in to the linked Battle.net account and confirm that Lord of Hatred is available.
NVIDIA’s account-linking instructions are at https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5529/. A subscription can provide access while it remains active; it should not be treated as permanent DLC ownership without checking the account’s terms.

If the expansion says “not owned”
Cloud availability and account entitlement are separate. Work through these checks in order:
- End the GeForce NOW session and sign out of Battle.net and Xbox accounts.
- Verify on the relevant PC storefront that the same account owns the base game and Lord of Hatred, or that the subscription is active and includes them.
- For Game Pass, recheck the Xbox/Battle.net connection page and make sure the intended accounts—not an alternate profile—are linked.
- Confirm that the game has completed its update and that you selected the correct storefront version in GeForce NOW.
- Relaunch GeForce NOW after a new purchase or account change so the entitlement can refresh.
If the storefront shows the purchase but the game still does not, contact Blizzard for a missing game entitlement. Contact NVIDIA for a launch, storefront-integration or GeForce NOW session problem. Console purchases and cross-progression
Blizzard’s platform language confirms shared progression features, but progression is not the same as a universal purchase license. Buying Lord of Hatred on PlayStation or Xbox should therefore not be presented as automatically unlocking the Battle.net, Steam or PC Game Pass copy used by GeForce NOW. For the least ambiguity, buy the expansion through the same PC storefront or subscription route that launches your game.
What “streamable today” does and does not promise
When the supported PC version is available in GeForce NOW, the game runs on NVIDIA’s data-center hardware and the video output is streamed to your device. You still need the appropriate entitlement, account logins and service access. A patch, maintenance window or data-center rollout can temporarily delay a launch even when the title is supported; cloud-side downloads are not a guarantee of instant patch availability in every region.
Your experience also depends on latency to the selected data center, Wi-Fi congestion, bandwidth, packet loss, display resolution, frame-rate target and controller or browser support. NVIDIA has advertised up to 4K and 120 frames per second for supported versions for Ultimate members, but that is a maximum capability, not a promise. Which GeForce NOW membership makes sense?
A free or entry-level option may be enough to test the service, subject to current queues, session limits, resolution and availability. A premium membership is better suited to long sessions, higher resolution, higher frame rates and faster access. Neither tier automatically includes Diablo IV or its expansion.

Bottom line: Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred is playable through GeForce NOW today when you launch a supported PC copy of Diablo IV using an account that owns—or demonstrably receives—the expansion. Match the storefront, link Game Pass correctly if applicable, and do not assume a console purchase transfers to PC.
