Frostpunk 2 launched for PC on September 20, 2024. In a sales report, 11 bit studios said the game had exceeded 350,000 copies sold by 8:00 a.m. on September 23. Three days later, the studio posted that sales had covered development costs. The September 26 announcement said: “Sales of the game have already covered our development costs, ensuring we can continue improving and expanding the frozen world you’ve embraced.”

The company said 53.7% of those customers chose the Deluxe Edition; part of its revenue would be recognized over time as the included paid DLCs were released. 11 bit studios’ results for the first nine months of 2024 included more than PLN 106.6 million in company-wide revenue, more than PLN 53 million in operating profit, and PLN 47.53 million in net profit. Those are results for the company across that period, not profit figures for Frostpunk 2. The same report described nearly PLN 52.33 million in game revenue plus a portion of Microsoft Game Pass payments; that combined figure should not be read as pure sales proceeds from this one game.
