What was officially confirmed
Marvel Rivals’ official site published “The Moon Haunts You! New Hero Moon Knight Joins Launch Roster!” on November 9, 2024. The post introduced Moon Knight as a Duelist and gave December 6, 2024 UTC as the planned arrival date. NetEase Games’ announcement of November 12, 2024 places the reveal at D23 Brazil and says Moon Knight was set to join the launch roster. That second statement confirms the reveal context but says nothing about a spoiler.
The official game description identifies the character as Marc Spector, the avatar of Khonshu, and frames him as a fighter across timelines. That is marketing and lore framing. It is not evidence that another character was previewed.

Where the Hawkeye claim comes from
The Hawkeye connection traces to a Reddit post titled “Hawkeye Spotted in Kill Feed,” which appeared in search results and discusses Hawkeye in the context of Moon Knight gameplay footage. The post is informal community material. The available evidence does not establish which clip it refers to, when that clip was published, whether the sighting was a mistake or a real on-screen element, or whether any next character had been announced at that point.

How to read future claims about hidden hints
- Check whether the claim cites a specific clip, timestamp, and publication date.
- Check whether the next character had already been officially announced when the clip appeared.
- Separate “appears on screen” from “was intended as a reveal.”
- Prefer official channels or established outlets over forum posts, even when a forum thread gathers many replies.
These checks apply to any game reveal. They matter here because the Moon Knight story is currently framed as a spoiler, while the public record supports only the announcement.
