Its patch notes, published by Gameloft on February 24, detail the Agrabah Realm, Aladdin and Jasmine, new gameplay and building features, and a long list of fixes. The update is historical—not the game’s latest update.
When did Tales of Agrabah launch?
Gameloft’s patch-note page is dated February 24, 2025, and announced the update for February 26. The official Steam announcement later said it was live on all platforms. Read Gameloft’s patch notes and Steam’s launch announcement.
Storefront version labels are not uniform. Apple’s App Store history lists version 1.15.0 on February 26, 2025, and separately lists version 1.16.0 on April 23, 2025, with a description of the Tales of Agrabah update. Those are Apple’s entries, not a single version number established for every platform. The update should not be mistaken for the latest content: Gameloft’s official site now lists later 2026 update material.
What new content did the update add?
Agrabah Realm, Aladdin and Jasmine
The new Aladdin Realm door leads into an Agrabah-inspired market. The story has players investigate a mysterious artifact and sandstorm, use Royal Tools and stealth, and help Aladdin and Jasmine return to the Valley. Both characters become Villagers, with friendship quests and rewards.

Stealth, carpet companion and glider
Realm adventures introduce stealth mechanics and unlock a flying-carpet companion. Players can also craft a Dreamlight Tapestry glider.
Gem stall and Oasis Star Path
A gem stall joins the Valley, and the Oasis Star Path offers rewards including resort-inspired fashion, furniture and animal-companion items. Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition does not include seasonal Star Paths or the Premium Shop, as Gameloft notes in its patch notes. The patch notes do not extend that limitation to other editions.

Seasonal events
The launch announcement also covered the return of Eggstravaganza and a new seasonal event. Those event details describe the update’s launch period; the available sources do not establish whether those time-limited activities remain active now.
What changed in cooking and the interface?
- Recipe search: A search bar makes recipes easier to find.
- Meal-request sorting: Sorting tabs help organize restaurant and quest meal requests.
- Slow Cooker: Players can queue multiple meals for a small Dreamlight cost.
- Generic recipe ingredients: When a recipe accepts a category of ingredients, selection now favors suitable resources available in the highest quantity.
- Inventory details: Items gained origin tags, and displays identify a Villager’s favorite gift of the day.
What building and decorating options were added?
The update added four Floating Islands themed after the Peaceful Meadow, Dazzle Beach, Glade of Trust and Forgotten Lands. Housing and decorating controls also expanded:

Which bugs did the patch fix?
Gameloft’s fix list is extensive. Representative fixes addressed the following issues; this selection is not a guarantee that every later occurrence of these problems, or every similar issue, was resolved.
- A squid could become grounded and impossible to pick up.
- Some areas of the Fallen Fortress were inaccessible.
- A Dreamlight Duty counter failed to count progress.
- A Pegasus critter could disappear while being chased.
- DreamSnap rewards could be missing.
- Rain sometimes did not appear.
- Initialization Error #101 could occur.
- Crafting stations could be missing from the Furniture menu.
- Cut scenes and tutorial videos could fail to load on Steam or Steam Deck.
Is Tales of Agrabah free, and does every edition include it?
Gameloft announced Tales of Agrabah as a free update. Its retail Cozy Edition includes access to the base game, a sticker set, a collectible poster and digital bonuses, but the update was not presented as requiring that edition. Gameloft’s editions page describes the Cozy Edition.
