What happened on October 2?
Nux Game Guides published an Oogie Boogie Contract guide on October 2, 2026. It says the weekly mission became available September 30, after players complete “A Halloween Invasion.” That availability date comes from the guide; the official event announcement does not confirm it.

So October 2 is useful as a date to find quest help, but it is not the announced launch date for the month’s main seasonal event.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s official October 2026 dates

These dates separate the quest guide from the event schedule: the Oogie Boogie Contract timing is reported by a third-party guide, while the festival and showcase dates were announced through official channels.

Don’t mix this up with October 2025
Last year’s calendar had different dates. The official 2025 patch notes say Return to Beast’s Castle arrived October 1, Trick or Treat ran October 15–31, and the Haunted Floating Festival was announced to begin October 22. Those are historical dates, not the 2026 schedule.
