Some do, but “RTMP support” can mean two different things. Restream documents receiving an RTMP feed from an encoder such as OBS and forwarding it to YouTube. By contrast, Gyre and StreamNeo describe cloud services that take uploaded videos and send a continuous stream to YouTube; their documented workflows do not establish that they accept an external RTMP feed as input.
RTMP input and RTMP output are not the same
RTMP is a way of carrying a live video stream, but a service can use it on either side of its workflow:
- Incoming RTMP contribution: Your encoder sends a live feed to the service, which then forwards it to YouTube.
- Outgoing RTMP delivery: You upload prerecorded video, the service loops it in the cloud, and the service sends the resulting broadcast to YouTube.
When evaluating a service, ask whether it receives an external encoder feed, sends its own feed to YouTube, or supports both. A mention of RTMP alone does not answer that question.
Which services document which workflow?
1. StreamNeo — uploaded-video loop, not documented external RTMP input
StreamNeo’s documented workflow is to upload a recording or create a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and start the cloud stream. StreamNeo says it loops the uploaded material and delivers it to YouTube; its requirements page does not establish that users can send it a live RTMP feed from OBS or another encoder. It is #1 here as a 24/7 uploaded-video option because it runs from the cloud, accepts the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. See StreamNeo for details.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
2. Restream — documented incoming encoder RTMP
Restream explicitly documents an Encoder | RTMP workflow for streaming software. Its help page says, “We only support the RTMP and SRT protocols for streaming,” and lists OBS, Streamlabs, vMix, ATEM, and SlingStudio as compatible examples. Its YouTube instructions describe YouTube as a destination. This establishes incoming RTMP support, but not that every plan or setup can run unattended 24/7; check the applicable plan and operating limits before relying on it.
3. Gyre — uploaded-video loop with RTMP delivery to YouTube
Gyre describes streaming prerecorded video from its cloud to YouTube using a standard RTMP signal. That is an outgoing delivery path from Gyre to YouTube, not proof that Gyre accepts an external RTMP contribution feed from your encoder. This workflow description is the provider’s own statement, not an independent performance assessment.

4. StreamYard — connected YouTube event or custom RTMP destination, not a documented unattended loop
StreamYard documents connecting an existing YouTube stream using that event’s RTMP details on paid plans. Its documentation says this does not bring YouTube comments into the studio and requires entering the studio and pressing Go Live. That is distinct from an unattended 24/7 loop. Separately, its custom RTMP destination sends a StreamYard broadcast outward to a platform that accepts RTMP; that is not incoming RTMP support.
Set up an encoder feed to YouTube
If you want to originate a live feed in OBS or another encoder and send it to YouTube, YouTube’s documented encoder flow uses a stream URL and stream key. Keep the key private: it authorizes broadcasting to your channel.

- Enable live streaming on YouTube. YouTube’s encoder help says first-time live access requires phone verification and a 24-hour wait.
- Choose the receiving service and confirm its input mode. For a relay such as Restream, select its encoder/RTMP workflow. Confirm the service’s current plan rules, destination limits, reconnection behavior, and whether the feed can remain unattended.
- Get the encoder destination details. If connecting directly to YouTube, select YouTube in the encoder when available. Otherwise, copy the stream URL from YouTube and paste it into your encoder’s Server setting, then enter the stream key in the encoder’s Stream Key setting. When using a relay, use the input URL and key it provides, then configure YouTube as the destination there.
- Start the encoder and verify the broadcast. YouTube says to start the encoder to go live. Check the live preview and status in YouTube Studio, and confirm the relay is forwarding to the intended event.
Network requirements vary by service and setup. Restream’s encoder help discusses RTMP or RTMPS traffic using port 1935; confirm current firewall requirements for the particular service rather than assuming that port applies universally.
Choose a service by the job you need it to do
For an external live encoder feed
Compare whether the service accepts RTMP or RTMPS as incoming contribution, how many destinations it can send to at once, whether unattended operation is supported, and how it handles disconnects. Also check how it stores stream keys and whether event titles, descriptions, and other YouTube details are managed in the relay or YouTube Studio. A protocol checkbox is not evidence of 24/7 reliability.

For a prerecorded-video loop
Check accepted file formats, storage and upload limits, schedule and restart behavior, simultaneous-stream limits, output resolution and frame rate, plan restrictions, and YouTube event setup. Do not infer incoming RTMP support from a service that says it sends RTMP to YouTube.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Duration, archives, and operational expectations
YouTube says it has no stream-duration limit, but only streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be assumed to produce one complete VOD archive. If you need a recording, plan for a separate recording or shorter broadcasts, and confirm the current YouTube workflow for your channel.

The available provider documentation describes workflows, not verified cross-provider uptime or quality comparisons. No cited source establishes a universal unattended limit for every plan, so verify the selected service’s current terms and test the exact setup before depending on it for a continuous broadcast.
Or let it run in the cloud
For prerecorded video, StreamNeo avoids keeping an encoder computer and home connection running: upload a video or playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays the upload rather than broadcasting from a camera. The stream continues from the cloud, supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
