Yes—but only with the right Xbox-licensed setup. MOZA’s clearest supported option is the Xbox version of the R3 Racing Bundle, which works with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. A standard MOZA wheelbase connected directly to an Xbox will not work, and fitting a different MOZA rim to a compatible base does not by itself make that setup Xbox-compatible.

Does the MOZA R5 work on Xbox?
MOZA describes the R5 bundle as PC-only and recommends the R3 Xbox Bundle for console buyers. Because MOZA’s separate ESX information does not clearly establish the R5 as an Xbox-supported pairing, do not rely on the wheel’s fit or the general ESX alternative to conclude that an R5 setup will work. Ask MOZA to confirm the exact combination if you already own an R5 or plan to buy components separately.

For MOZA’s named Xbox R3 bundle, yes: the Xbox version comes with the Xbox-licensed ESX wheel, while the PC R3 bundle comes with ES Lite. What works in Xbox mode?
Switching the ESX between Xbox and PC modes
- On the ESX wheel, press and hold S1 and S2 together for five seconds.
- Allow the base to restart as it changes modes.
- Check the RPM lights: in Xbox mode they move inward from each side; in PC mode they show red, yellow, and green breathing lights. MOZA Xbox FAQ
Controls and game support
MOZA says steering, throttle, brake, clutch and shift paddles are the usual working controls in Xbox mode. Some ESX buttons may be invalid under its Xbox Steering Wheel Development Agreement; MOZA says all buttons can work in PC mode. MOZA lists Forza Horizon 5, Forza Motorsport and the F1 series as example games for the R3, but its cited support page does not provide a complete Xbox game-by-game compatibility matrix. Do not assume every title supports every wheel feature.

How to choose the right setup
- Buying a complete setup for Xbox: select the Xbox R3 Racing Bundle and verify that the listing says Xbox version or includes the ESX wheel.
- Already own MOZA equipment: identify the precise wheelbase and rim, then confirm their Xbox support with MOZA. Mechanical rim compatibility alone is not proof of console licensing.
- Considering an R5: treat MOZA’s stated PC-only R5 bundle support as decisive unless MOZA confirms a particular Xbox pairing directly.
- Choosing by game: check the game’s own wheel support information as well as the hardware pairing; MOZA’s examples are not a guarantee for every game or feature.
