Yes. A Minecraft Movie has two extra scenes: one during the credits and one after they finish. The first continues Marlene and the Nitwit villager’s romance; the last introduces Alex when Steve returns to his former home. Stay through the end of the credits to see both. How does A Minecraft Movie end?
Steve and his companions defeat the Piglin threat and return from the Overworld to Earth. Steve had intended to stay behind, but his friends persuade him to come back with them and Dennis, his cubic wolf.

The main characters then get upbeat epilogues. Henry flies to school using his rocket pack, Natalie becomes a self-defense instructor, and Dawn pursues her mobile-zoo idea. Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, played by Jason Momoa, teams up with Steve to revamp Garrett’s struggling video-game store. What happens in the mid-credits scene?
The first extra scene appears after the credits begin. Marlene, played by Jennifer Coolidge, reunites with the Nitwit villager. He has learned to speak human, declares his love, and proposes. Marlene accepts, bringing their unlikely romance to a happy beat. Forbes’ April 4, 2025 account distinguishes this mid-credits moment from the later scene.

What happens in the post-credits scene?
After the credits finish, Steve visits the home he left behind, searching for a chest in the attic. A red-haired woman now lives there and introduces herself as Alex. Her face is not shown, and the scene does not reveal what is inside the chest. GameSpot’s account describes Alex as Steve’s iconic counterpart in the game; on screen, the firm reveal is that she is there and gives her name.

No. Alex’s introduction leaves room for another adventure, but it does not confirm a sequel or establish what its story would be. Director Jared Hess said, “Well, I hope it’s a tease for a sequel! We’ll see how this one does first, but it would be amazing to go on another Minecraft adventure with some other amazing characters.” His wording was explicitly conditional. TechRadar’s April 4, 2025 report covered Hess’s comments and noted that a sequel had not then been officially announced.

GameSpot also reported Hess describing the Minecraft world as “endless” and pointing to unused biomes, characters, and creatures. Minecraft executive Torfi Frans Ólafsson mentioned other dimensions, mobs, and ways to play as possible story territory. Those are creative possibilities, not a confirmed sequel plan. GameSpot’s report includes those remarks.
