Activision’s published information does not conclusively answer whether COD Mobile Ranked currently includes bots. Its Ranked announcement says players are matched with community players of similar rank, while a separate 2024 Call of Duty statement says general Multiplayer matchmaking does not use bots. What Activision says about COD Mobile Ranked
In its January 14, 2020 Ranked Mode announcement, Activision wrote: “In Multiplayer Ranked Mode, you’ll be matched up against community players with similar rank.” That describes rank-based matchmaking with community players, but it does not explicitly say that every opponent is human or rule out bots.
What the broader Call of Duty matchmaking statement says
A separate 2024 Call of Duty matchmaking article states: “Call of Duty Multiplayer does not use bots as part of the general matchmaking process. If this changes in the future, we will inform the community.” The article discusses general Call of Duty Multiplayer matchmaking; it does not specifically identify COD Mobile Ranked. It therefore offers relevant context, but does not settle the narrower question on its own.
Why player reports do not settle it
Players in community discussions have both reported and disputed bot encounters in Ranked. Those accounts can explain why people ask “Bots in ranked matches?”, but anecdotes do not establish Activision’s current matchmaking policy. The available sources do not provide a verified bot percentage, rank threshold, regional rate, or queue condition for COD Mobile Ranked.

Does COD Mobile Ranked have bots?
The most accurate answer is that the official information cited here is inconclusive for COD Mobile Ranked specifically. Activision’s 2020 description says Ranked matches players with community players of similar rank, and its 2024 statement says general Call of Duty Multiplayer matchmaking does not use bots. Neither statement explicitly confirms or rules out bots in current COD Mobile Ranked matches.
Activision’s COD Mobile matchmaking help page explains how input devices affect matchmaking: solo players using native controls are matched with native-control players, solo controller users with controller users, and parties containing a controller user with controller users. It does not address whether those matches can include bots.
