Gyre lists Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro debit or credit cards as payment methods, but its published FAQ does not specifically confirm whether Indian-issued debit cards are accepted. A card on one of those networks may still be declined, so check with your bank if Gyre checkout fails.
What Gyre says about card payments
Gyre’s pricing FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro debit or credit bank cards. It also says users can top up their balance through PayPal and cryptocurrency. The FAQ does not name India, RuPay, or any Indian card issuer, so it does not establish that every Indian debit card—or any particular one—will work.
In practical terms, an Indian Visa, Mastercard, or Maestro debit card is on a network Gyre lists, but approval depends on the card and its issuer. The only sure test is whether Gyre’s checkout accepts that card.
What to check if your card is declined
YouTube’s payment troubleshooting guidance offers general advice for declined payments: an issuer may restrict a transaction, and customers outside the United States should check whether their bank and card support international transactions. Online transactions may also require authorization from the bank, depending on the country. This is general payment guidance, not confirmation about Gyre’s payment processor.

- Ask your bank whether online transactions are enabled for the card.
- If the transaction is international, ask whether the card can make international payments and whether any authorization is required.
- If online banking does not work, Gyre’s FAQ advises contacting your bank.
These checks can help identify an issuer restriction, but they cannot guarantee that a specific card will be approved by Gyre.
What the subscription is for
Gyre is a cloud service for streaming prerecorded video as a continuous YouTube livestream. Its product workflow is to upload video files, arrange them in a playlist, connect a YouTube account, and start the stream; its help article says the files must be uploaded to Gyre storage before streaming. See Gyre’s product page and its video preparation guidance. This is a subscription for looping videos on your channel, not a payment to YouTube for Premium or a channel membership.
