Yes—Gyre’s surfaced plan information lists 4K streaming on Start+ (one 4K stream) and PRO+ (up to two). But Gyre’s available file-preparation guide specifies HD and Full HD settings, not a 4K upload recipe. Before preparing a large video or playlist, confirm the current plan details and 4K file requirements with Gyre.
Which Gyre plans list 4K streaming?
Gyre’s plan listing identifies 4K on Start+ and PRO+. A recent Gyre guide says PRO+ supports up to eight simultaneous continuous Full HD 60 fps streams or up to two in 4K. These are Gyre’s stated plan capabilities, not an independent test; plan features can change, so check the current Gyre plan listing and account terms before subscribing.
| Plan | 4K stream allowance stated | Other stated stream allowance |
|---|---|---|
| Start+ | One 4K stream | Not established by the cited plan information |
| PRO+ | Up to two simultaneous continuous 4K streams | Up to eight simultaneous continuous Full HD 60 fps streams, according to Gyre’s 2026 guide |
The available plan information does not establish current prices, all destination-specific restrictions, or whether every 4K resolution, codec, and frame-rate combination is accepted. Confirm those details directly with Gyre.
What does “pre-recorded stream” mean on Gyre?
Gyre describes a cloud workflow in which uploaded video files are broadcast as a live stream. Its Help Center says files must be uploaded to Gyre storage, whether they are new recordings, videos previously published on a channel, or items from a playlist. The service’s documented workflow therefore involves preparing and uploading video files, rather than sending a live camera feed.

Gyre’s 2026 guide to streaming pre-recorded video states the PRO+ 4K allowance. The Help Center’s video-preparation article was updated about a year before 2026 and gives HD and Full HD settings only. It does not specify Gyre’s 4K input-file requirements.
What 4K file settings should you use?
There is no confirmed Gyre-specific 4K recipe in the available preparation guidance. Do not treat Gyre’s HD/Full HD instructions as 4K requirements, or assume a particular 4K codec, bitrate, or frame rate will be accepted or preserved by Gyre’s processing.

Gyre’s published HD and Full HD guidance
The Help Center lists these settings in its HD/Full HD preparation section; they are not 4K specifications:
- Resolution: 1920×1080 or 1280×720
- Video codec: H.264
- Video bitrate: 3072–6144 kbps
- Audio bitrate: 128 kbps
- Frame rate: 30 fps
YouTube’s 4K live-encoder recommendations
YouTube’s official live encoder settings guidance recommends H.264 video bitrates of 30 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 30 fps and 35 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 60 fps. These figures are for YouTube live-stream ingestion. They are not confirmed Gyre upload-file requirements and do not prove that Gyre accepts those exact settings or preserves 4K in every plan. YouTube also transcodes live streams into formats suited to different viewers.

What to confirm before uploading a 4K playlist
- Check the current Gyre plan table and confirm the number of simultaneous 4K streams included on the plan you are considering.
- Ask Gyre support for the current accepted 4K file specifications: resolution, codec, frame rate, video and audio bitrates, container, and any file-size or duration limits.
- Ask whether the service preserves the uploaded file’s 4K resolution through processing and streaming, and whether the answer depends on the destination or plan.
- Test one representative file before uploading a large playlist. Verify the resulting YouTube live stream’s resolution and playback, rather than relying only on the source file’s properties.
Gyre’s preparation guide names Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro as options for optimizing video files; it does not say that any one editor is required. If you use an editor, export a short test with Gyre’s confirmed settings before preparing the full library.
