Gyre’s documented YouTube setup connects through Google-account authorization, and its materials do not identify India as an excluded country. That is not an explicit India-specific availability guarantee: the decisive check is whether the Google account managing your particular channel can authorize Gyre and select that channel.
What determines whether Gyre can connect your channel?
The manager’s location and the account’s channel permissions are separate questions. The reviewed Gyre workflow says to sign in with the Google account that owns the channel, grant Gyre access, then select the channel during setup. It does not document every delegated-role or Brand Account configuration, so it cannot confirm that every managed-channel arrangement will work. Gyre’s YouTube API workflow is the practical guide to that authorization process.
In practice, try connecting the specific channel using the Google account that has the necessary permissions. If Gyre displays the channel for selection after authorization, proceed with setup. If it does not, check that you used the account with access to that channel; the available documentation does not establish which individual role or permission level is sufficient in every configuration.
Check YouTube’s livestream requirements first
Gyre’s connection workflow does not replace YouTube’s eligibility requirements. YouTube says a channel must be verified, must have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the person livestreaming must be at least 16. Live content must also comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. See YouTube’s live-streaming requirements.

- Confirm that the channel is verified and live streaming is enabled.
- Check that the channel has not had a live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days.
- Make sure the person livestreaming meets YouTube’s age requirement.
- Use a Google account able to authorize access to the specific managed channel.
Connect the channel and configure the stream
- In Gyre’s stream setup, choose YouTube and start the channel-connection flow.
- Sign in with the Google account that owns or can authorize the channel, then approve the requested access.
- Select the intended channel from the channels Gyre presents.
- Set the stream parameters and either use an existing YouTube stream key or let Gyre create one, as described in Gyre’s API workflow article.
- Check the resulting stream in YouTube Studio before relying on it. If the channel is missing during authorization, revisit which Google account is signed in and whether it can authorize that channel.
If you expect ads, check the third-party monetization setting
Gyre says the YouTube Studio setting for monetization on streams created by third-party services must be enabled for ads to be active on externally created streams. This setting is not proof that a channel is in the YouTube Partner Program, that a stream qualifies for ads, or that it will earn revenue. Review the channel’s monetization settings in YouTube Studio if ads are part of your plan. Gyre states: “With that setting off, a stream created by any external service starts with monetization disabled.” Source: Gyre’s YouTube API workflow article.
When the connection does not work
- The channel does not appear: Confirm you authorized with the Google account that has access to that channel. Gyre’s material does not spell out every managed-channel role or Brand Account edge case, so a missing channel may require checking the account’s permissions or asking Gyre support about that configuration.
- You can connect but cannot start a livestream: Check YouTube verification, live-stream enablement, and whether the channel had restrictions in the previous 90 days.
- The stream starts without ads: Check the third-party-stream monetization option in YouTube Studio, then verify the channel’s separate eligibility for monetization.
Or let it run in the cloud
