Supergiant Games calls the feature cross-save: Hades II supports saves between Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, between Steam and Epic Games Store, and between those PC storefront versions and Nintendo consoles through the in-game menu. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are not included in the supported cross-save groups. This status reflects Supergiant’s FAQ, last updated April 14, 2026.
Which Hades II versions share saves?
“Cross-progression” is a common way to describe carrying progress between platforms, but Supergiant’s documented feature is cross-save. Its FAQ lists these supported connections:
| Version or storefront | Supported cross-save connections |
|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch | Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and Epic Games Store |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Epic Games Store |
| Steam | Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 |
| Epic Games Store | Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 |
| PlayStation 5 | No cross-save connection is listed; Supergiant says cross-saves with other versions are unavailable. |
| Xbox Series X|S | No cross-save connection is listed; Supergiant says cross-saves with other versions are unavailable. |
These are specific compatibility groups, not a guarantee that every platform shares one universal save. Supergiant says cross-saves with other versions are unavailable due to technical limitations. The game’s release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on April 14, 2026, did not add either console to the listed groups. Supergiant’s Hades II FAQ
Can you transfer a save between Switch and Switch 2?
Yes. Supergiant’s technical support FAQ says Hades II save data is compatible between Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. To move it between those devices, use Nintendo’s Local Communication feature or a microSD Express card. This is a Nintendo-device transfer route; it does not mean that PlayStation or Xbox saves can be connected to the Nintendo versions. Supergiant’s technical support FAQ
#1 Best Overall
- Battle beyond the Underworld using dark sorcery to take on the Titan of Time in this bewitching sequel to the award-winning rogue-like dungeon crawler.
How does cross-save work between PC and Nintendo?
Supergiant says PC/Mac and Nintendo transfers use a simple in-game cross-save menu. The PC storefronts identified in its FAQ are Steam and Epic Games Store, alongside Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Follow the game’s menu prompts on the versions you are connecting rather than assuming that progress will appear automatically. The official support documentation does not list PS5 or Xbox as part of this transfer route. Supergiant’s Hades II FAQ
What to do if Nintendo progress is missing on PC
If your Nintendo save has not appeared on PC, Supergiant’s support FAQ gives this recovery sequence. Pay attention to the slot and the cloud-conflict choice: select the save with the most progress.

- Battle beyond the Underworld to vanquish the Titan of Time as the Princess of the Dead in this bewitching sequel to the original rogue-like dungeon crawler. Hades II lets players explore a bigger, deeper mythic world with the full might of Olympus at their call in a story that reacts to their every setback and accomplishment.
- On PC, start a new game in the same save slot that holds the Switch save you want to use.
- Close the game so the new PC data uploads.
- On Switch, open the Play menu and resolve the cloud conflict by choosing the save with the most progress.
- Play until you enter a new location to trigger a save.
- Pause and choose “Sync & Quit.” The FAQ says the cross-save data should then be available on PC.
If the save still does not appear, check that you selected the intended slot and the more-progressed file during the conflict prompt, then repeat the sequence carefully. Supergiant’s technical support FAQ
Does the physical Nintendo edition change cross-save support?
No. Supergiant’s physical Nintendo retail edition, released November 20, 2025, is a way to buy the game on a standard physical card; it does not add cross-save connections beyond the supported platform groups. The announcement says the package includes a 32-page character compendium, reversible cover slip, and soundtrack download code. Supergiant’s physical edition announcement

Supergiant’s FAQ says Hades II launched in version 1.0 on Steam, Epic Games Store, Switch 2, and Switch on September 25, 2025. The physical Nintendo edition followed November 20, 2025, and the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions launched April 14, 2026. Availability on a platform does not by itself establish cross-save compatibility; Supergiant’s supported list remains the controlling guide.
