Into the Radius 2 has no confirmed PS VR2 cross-buy or cross-play support in the official information available as of October 4, 2026. The PlayStation Store lists a PS5 version, but does not say it includes the PC version or that a purchase on another platform grants the PS VR2 version. A two-player PS VR2 co-op update is planned for Q4 2026; its announcement does not confirm cross-platform play.
Does Into the Radius 2 support cross-buy?
Cross-buy means that buying the game on one storefront also grants an entitlement to play it on another platform. That is not confirmed for Into the Radius 2: the US PlayStation Store listing does not say a PS5 purchase includes the PC version, and the Steam listing does not say a Steam purchase includes the PS VR2 version. Treat the versions as separate purchases unless an official store or publisher announcement explicitly says otherwise.
Does PS VR2 support cross-play?
Current official PS VR2 information does not confirm that PS VR2 players can join players on Steam or another VR platform. Co-op being available on multiple platforms would not by itself establish that those players can connect to one another.
A developer account replied in a Steam Community discussion on June 7, 2024, that “We have no plans for such a feature at this time.” The thread was asking about cross-platform play in the context of potential PS VR2 or Quest ports. That is useful historical context, not a definitive current policy: it predates the PS VR2 announcement and later co-op plans. See the Steam Community discussion.

What co-op has been announced?
In an August 24, 2026 PlayStation Blog post, CM Immersive Game Director Aleksei Shulga said the PS VR2 version would launch with a new single-player campaign, followed by a free update planned for Q4 2026 that would add two-player co-op. This is an announced plan, not confirmation that the update has shipped; the post does not specify cross-play.
The Steam listing separately describes the PC version as VR-only, with single-player and online co-op for up to four players. That PC player limit does not establish that PS VR2 players can join those sessions.

When does the PS VR2 version release, and what equipment does it require?
As of October 4, 2026, the current US PlayStation Store listing gives October 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM UTC as the PS5 release time. It requires a PlayStation VR2 headset and PS VR2 Sense controllers. The Store page also lists offline play and one player, and describes eye-tracked foveated rendering, custom headset and controller haptics, 3D Audio, PlayStation Activities, and Trophies.
There is a date discrepancy: the August 24 PlayStation Blog announcement gave September 24, 2026. For current availability, the later Store listing is the newer date available here; check the Store page for any subsequent change.

- Buying for PS VR2: Do not assume the purchase includes a Steam copy.
- Already own the PC version: Do not assume that ownership grants the PS VR2 version.
- Planning to play co-op across platforms: The announced PS VR2 co-op update does not confirm cross-play, and the older developer reply is not a current commitment.
