No—Rematch does not have officially documented split-screen or couch co-op. Its team matches are online multiplayer, and the offline practice and free-play options are not described as local multiplayer. Crossplay lets players on different platforms play together online; it does not let two people share one screen.
Can two people play Rematch on one console or PC?
The official Rematch FAQ describes the game as an online 5v5 multiplayer football game and lists 3v3 and 4v4 quick-play modes. Those are online team formats, not local play on a shared screen. The official materials reviewed do not identify a split-screen or couch co-op mode.
That means you should not buy Rematch expecting two players to join the same match from one console or PC using separate controllers. The game’s team-based multiplayer is designed around online play.

Sloclap’s Patch #3 notes describe crossplay matchmaking and joining friends across released platforms. That is a way for players on separate systems to meet online, not a workaround for playing together on one console. Patch #3 notes
Could split-screen be added later?
The official materials reviewed do not announce a future split-screen or local co-op feature. That does not rule out a later change; it means there is no confirmed release plan to rely on. Sloclap’s FAQ also says the focus is multiplayer, but its statement about the solo campaign being off the current roadmap does not answer whether local multiplayer could be added. Does the Elite Edition include split-screen?
No split-screen feature is identified for the physical Elite Edition. Bandai Namco Europe’s November 14, 2025 announcement describes the release as the full game with additional digital content for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; it does not say that it adds local multiplayer.
