Xbox has not confirmed whether Forza games are eligible for its new disc-to-digital feature. The August 26, 2026 announcement says most Xbox One and Xbox Series X disc-based games are supported, but some titles are unavailable at launch. It does not name Forza or provide a title-by-title list, so the claim that Forza is excluded is not verified by the official information reviewed.
Does Xbox’s disc-to-digital feature support Forza?
The answer remains unresolved. Xbox’s August 26, 2026 announcement describes the feature and acknowledges that not every game is available at launch, but it does not say whether any specific Forza title qualifies. Without a title-level listing or a direct Xbox statement, neither support nor exclusion for Forza can be confirmed.

That distinction matters: Xbox’s broad statement that most Xbox One and Xbox Series X disc-based games are supported is not a guarantee for every game. It also does not establish that Forza is among the unsupported titles.
How “Your Discs. Now Also Digital.” works
Xbox describes a process for owners of supported physical game discs: insert the disc into an Xbox One or Xbox Series X console and launch the game to claim a digital entitlement. The disc continues to work as before. The entitlement may also provide access to digital features such as Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming, where those services support the game.

Xbox says the feature starts with “thousands of titles” and that more will be added over time, but the announcement gives no exact count or complete initial catalog. Xbox Insiders were scheduled to begin testing on August 31, 2026, the week after the announcement.
Can I turn my Forza disc into a digital Xbox license?
Only if the specific disc and game are supported by the feature; Xbox has not published Forza-specific eligibility in the announcement. If you want to check a particular copy, identify the exact Forza game and edition, the disc’s Xbox generation, and the Xbox One or Xbox Series X console you would use to launch it. Eligibility for the digital ownership entitlement is also distinct from access to Play Anywhere or cloud gaming, which depends on support for those services.

Insert-and-launch is Xbox’s stated claim process for a supported disc, but the announcement does not give a Forza-specific result or spell out every eligibility condition. Do not treat a failed or successful assumption about one Forza edition as evidence about all Forza discs.
Which Xbox games are supported by the feature?
Xbox’s announcement says most Xbox One and Xbox Series X disc-based games support the feature, while noting that some titles are not available at launch. It does not include a complete title list in the material reviewed, so a general percentage or a specific Forza eligibility claim cannot be derived from it. Check Xbox’s current feature guidance for a title-level answer as it becomes available.

Do other Xbox announcements clarify Forza eligibility?
No. Xbox’s July 22, 2026 backward-compatibility-on-PC announcement described a separate early-release program, initially covering four original Xbox games: Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, and Fuzion Frenzy. That PC catalog is not an eligibility list for disc-to-digital.
Likewise, Playground Games’ January 22, 2026 Forza Horizon 6 platform announcement addresses platform availability, not conversion of physical discs into digital entitlements. A game’s availability on Xbox Series X|S or PC does not, by itself, establish disc-to-digital support.
