Download Epic’s software free from its official download page. Choose the button for your device: Windows and Mac users get the desktop Epic Games Launcher; Android and supported Apple devices get the Epic Games Store mobile app. Mobile availability depends on your device, operating system, and—in Apple’s case—region.
Choose the right Epic download for your device

Epic estimates the mobile app itself needs around 25 MB. That is separate from the storage required for games, which can be much larger. The desktop Launcher and mobile Store app are different products: use the desktop Launcher for Windows or Mac, and the Epic Games Store app for a supported mobile device. Epic’s download page has the current mobile requirements and availability details.
How to download and install the Epic Games Store
- On the device where you want to install it, open Epic’s official download page.
- Select the download for your platform. Epic says the installer normally starts automatically; if it does not, select the button for your platform on the page.
- Open the downloaded installer and follow its prompts. On Android, use Epic’s website on the phone and follow the on-screen installation prompts.
- On iPhone or iPad, verify that your region and operating-system version are supported before troubleshooting an unavailable download.
Is there an Epic Games Store APK download?
For Android, get the app through Epic’s official website rather than a third-party APK site. Android may display a security warning or ask you to approve installation because the app is being installed from Epic’s website. Only proceed if you started the download from Epic’s official domain and the prompt is part of that installation.
Epic Games Support’s download instructions say: “Visit the Epic Games Store website”. Avoid APK mirrors: the official page is the appropriate source for the app and its installation prompts.

Why can’t I install the Epic Games Store?
- The download button did not start the installer: Return to Epic’s download page and select the platform button directly.
- Your computer does not meet the listed requirements: The desktop Launcher requires Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11, or macOS 13.5 or later. Epic does not support beta macOS versions.
- The mobile app is unavailable on your Apple device: Check the listed region as well as the OS minimum. Epic’s detailed FAQ lists EU availability for iPhone and iPad, and Japan and Brazil for iPhone; the live page should be checked for changes.
- Android shows a security prompt: This can happen when installing from Epic’s site. Continue only if you initiated the install from Epic’s official domain.
- You can install the store but not a particular game: Check that game’s system requirements separately. Storefront availability does not mean every game supports every device.
Launcher or Store app: which one do you need?
On Windows and Mac, download the Epic Games Launcher. On Android, iPhone, or iPad, download the Epic Games Store app if the device and region are supported. The mobile app’s small storage estimate applies to the app itself, not to games downloaded through it; individual games have their own compatibility and storage requirements.
