Capcom has announced Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, a paid expansion planned for October 9, 2026. Its announcement does not mention Ron Perlman, so his involvement—and any comparison between his pay for this expansion and his reported compensation for the first Fallout—is unconfirmed.
What Capcom announced about Dark Arisen
Capcom describes Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen as a paid expansion that adds a new story to Dragon’s Dogma 2. It is planned for release on October 9, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Capcom’s announcement also says the Switch 2 package combines the base game and expansion content. Capcom’s announcement describes the series as action games set in a fantasy world of swords and magic, and reports more than 14 million cumulative units sold across the series as of March 31, 2026.
Capcom’s announcement does not name Perlman or identify a voice role for him. The available reporting cited here does not independently confirm his casting, either. That leaves the headline claim unresolved; it is not evidence that he has no connection to the project.
How much did Ron Perlman say he got for Fallout?
In an interview on the Joe Vulpis Podcast, Perlman reportedly recalled being paid $40 and given a sandwich for his work on the first Fallout. GameSpot reported the anecdote, and PC Gamer reproduced a longer passage from the interview on January 14, 2026. PC Gamer noted that he may have been joking.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The $40-and-a-sandwich figure is Perlman’s reported recollection, not a verified payroll record or a general measure of what actors were paid for games. It is also not a basis for estimating what he might earn on Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
