Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is a 2026 bundle of the 2024 game Dragon’s Dogma 2 and the new Dark Arisen Expansion. It is not the 2013 game Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Capcom scheduled the package to launch on October 9, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; availability and unlock timing may differ by platform and region.
What’s included in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen?
The package brings together the base game, the Dark Arisen Expansion, and three named bonus items in platform listings:

Capcom describes the package as containing both the base game and expansion in one package. The Xbox listing says the base game, camping kit, and music-and-sound collection are available immediately from that listing, while the expansion and Norgan Fashion Set become available at launch. PlayStation also lists the expansion and Norgan set with an October 9, 2026 availability date. Check your local storefront for current entitlements and timing.
Is Dark Arisen a DLC or a full game?
It is both a bundle and an expansion purchase route: Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is the package containing the full base game plus the Dark Arisen Expansion. The expansion is also listed separately on Steam, so owners of the base game can check the add-on route rather than buying a bundle that includes the game they already own.

How does it differ from the original Dragon’s Dogma 2?
The original Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the base game released in March 2024. The 2026 Dark Arisen package adds the named expansion and the listed bonus items to that base game. The official listings establish what is bundled; they do not provide a complete feature-by-feature account of expansion gameplay, nor do they establish comparative performance or content quality.
Take care with the similar title: Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is the earlier series entry. This package is Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, a later edition of the sequel.

Platforms, release date, and purchase routes
Capcom announced the package for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a scheduled release date of October 9, 2026. The announcement says it brings Dragon’s Dogma 2 to Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time. The base game first appeared on Steam on March 21, 2024; Steam lists the base game and expansion as separate store items.
Xbox lists regional unlock times for the expansion and Norgan content as October 8 at 5:00 p.m. PDT and October 9 at 1:00 a.m. BST. Store calendars can show a different local date, and platform entitlements may not unlock at the same time. Check the listing for your region before purchase.

Which version should an existing owner buy?
Use your current library and platform listing to decide, rather than assuming the bundle is an upgrade entitlement:
- You do not own the base game: the Dark Arisen package includes the base game alongside the expansion and listed bonus items.
- You already own Dragon’s Dogma 2: compare the separate expansion listing on your platform with the bundle. Confirm add-on requirements, local pricing, and exactly which bonuses are included before buying.
- You play on a specific platform: verify the edition and availability directly in that platform’s store. Capcom’s platform announcement and store listings confirm the announced platforms, but prices and entitlements can vary by region.
Official listings establish the package contents and release information, but not expansion quality, playtime, performance, or whether the bundle is better value than buying the expansion separately.
