For smoother gameplay, start by selecting Performance mode on PS5 or Xbox when it is available. On PC, avoid a one-size-fits-all preset: check whether your CPU or GPU is the constraint, then compare changes in both a crowded city and an open area. Capcom’s reported September 2026 Title Update 3.2 added performance choices across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, so launch-era advice is a starting point—not a definitive guide to the current build.
Which settings should you change first?
Decide whether motion smoothness or image quality matters more, then compare modes in the same place and situation. A crowded city is an important test: performance there may differ from an open area, and a setting that looks good outdoors may not resolve slowdowns in a dense scene.
- On console: Begin with Performance mode. If the image looks too soft or the motion improvement is not worthwhile to you, compare Graphics mode in the same location and combat scenario.
- On PC: Check CPU and GPU load or utilization with your usual monitoring tools, then adjust one demanding visual option at a time. Revisit the comparison in a populated city and an open area.
- On every platform: Judge the result by both motion and image quality. Resolution, sharpness, visual effects, and upscaling can change the trade-off.
What to expect from console performance modes
Windows Central’s 2026 report on Title Update 3.2 gives maximum frame rates with FSR upscaling of 60 fps on Xbox Series X and 45 fps on Xbox Series S. These are reported maximums, not assurances of a locked or sustained rate in every scene.
The available evidence does not establish exact current resolution targets for each mode on PS5 or Xbox, or a complete platform-by-platform settings table. Treat the Performance-versus-Graphics comparison as a practical choice to make in your own game rather than assuming a specific resolution or frame rate.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
How to tune the PC version
Identify the likely limit
CPU and GPU capability both matter, and results vary by area. If changing a graphics option makes little difference in a busy city, the scene may be limited elsewhere—such as by CPU load—rather than by that option alone. Compare changes in the same scene so that different environments do not obscure the result.
Change one demanding option at a time
Make a small, controlled comparison: change one setting, revisit the same city or open-area location, and assess motion as well as image quality. If you use an upscaler, include its choice in your comparison; resolution and sharpness are part of the trade-off. Avoid treating another player’s preset as universally suitable for different hardware.

Handle older PC advice cautiously
PC Gamer’s launch-era settings guide favored FXAA+TAA for anti-aliasing. That is historical advice, not a verified recommendation for the post-September 2026 build, so reassess it on your current version. Launch-era analysis also reported a performance cost for ray tracing relative to its lighting benefit; do not assume that older result precisely describes current performance.
Why can the game still slow down in cities?
Dense cities and open areas can behave differently, and PC performance depends on both CPU and GPU capability. A graphics change may improve one location without producing the same result elsewhere. Compare the same crowded city scene before and after an adjustment, then check an open area separately; do not use an open-area result alone to judge city performance.

Launch-era reviews and tuning articles predate Title Update 3.2. Their observations can explain why hardware and scene type matter, but they are not current-build benchmarks. The available post-update reporting does not provide a detailed PC benchmark table or exact settings for every console mode.

- Choose a repeatable scene: Pick a crowded city location and an open-area location. Compare each location with the same activity or combat situation where possible.
- Record your baseline: Note the selected mode or graphics options, resolution, and upscaler. On PC, note your hardware and game version as well.
- Change one choice: Switch console mode, or adjust one PC option; avoid changing several variables at once.
- Compare motion and image: Check whether movement feels smoother and whether sharpness, resolution, or effects have become less acceptable to you.
- Repeat in both scene types: Keep the city and open-area results distinct, since a change can behave differently between them.
If you publish or compare measured PC results, useful context includes game version, PC specifications, resolution, upscaler, location, and settings. Average frame rate and frame-time behavior are separate measures and should not be conflated.
