To finish Boosting the Signal in Dune: Awakening, repair the relay beacon on the rocks above the Mithra wreck, then enter the wreck through the high rear scaffolding. Inside, find the Blue ID Band, activate auxiliary power, and use the band to reach the distress beacon. Return to Lieutenant Drangh to complete the contract.
Before you enter the Mithra wreck
Lieutenant Drangh issues Boosting the Signal at the Mithra as part of the Lost Harvest DLC. It follows Radio Silenced; completing it leads into Following Up, according to the Dune: Awakening Community Wiki.
- Bring weapons: the wreck interior is combat-focused.
- Expect poison inside. Method advises moving quickly through poisoned areas or using a Compactor to clear them; that is guide advice, not a verified requirement.
- Method also recommends accepting No Trespassing from Quartermaster Hix before entering if you want to handle the contracts together.
Repair the relay beacon above the wreck
- At the Mithra wreckage, head to the rocks above it and follow the contract marker to the relay beacon.
- Interact with the beacon. Three Kirab attackers appear, according to the Community Wiki.
- Defeat them, then return to Lieutenant Drangh as directed.
After this outdoor objective, the contract sends you back toward the wreck to investigate its side entrance.
Enter the Mithra through the side entrance
Look for scaffolding at the highest point at the rear of the Mithra wreck. The entrance there loads an instanced interior, as described by Method’s walkthrough. Follow the contract marker once inside; expect combat and poison hazards.

Find the Blue ID Band
From the first combat area, search the side rooms for the Blue ID Band. Method places it in the room on the right; the Filibuster Blog walkthrough describes it as a side room on the west side of the main area. Because the directional descriptions differ, use the quest marker and check the side rooms rather than relying only on a compass direction. You will need the band to pass a blue-locked door later in the route.
Activate auxiliary power and reach the distress beacon
- Follow the contract marker to the auxiliary power console. Method places it at the end of a corridor before a vent; Filibuster Blog places it southeast of the main room.
- Activate the console, then continue through the vent route toward the upper level.
- Use the Blue ID Band at the blue-locked door.
- Search the first room beyond that door for the distress beacon and reactivate it.
The beacon is easy to overlook. Method warns that if you reach the second gate, you have gone too far; backtrack to the first room beyond the blue-locked door.

Return to Lieutenant Drangh
Once the distress beacon is active, leave the wreck and report back to Drangh to finish Boosting the Signal. The Community Wiki lists the contract rewards as 150 XP and 1,500 Solari. Drangh’s in-game closing dialogue says the survivors will monitor emergency frequencies and hope the recovery crew arrives before a sandstorm.
