Where to find the Mentat trainers
| Training | Trainer | Location | Progression |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Samin Moro | Riftwatch, a Harkonnen base on the southern tip of Hagga Rift | First Blood and basic Mentat skills; the walkthrough says this unlocks the basic tree for characters that did not choose Mentat at creation. |
| Advanced | Zayn de Witte | Inside the Salusan Bull in Arrakeen; the walkthrough places him on the bottom floor toward the back | Begins the advanced Mentat quest sequence. |
The official Mentat overview identifies Samin as the first trainer at Riftwatch. The walkthrough and Game8 guide identify Zayn as the advanced trainer in the Salusan Bull. Game8 describes trainers as sources of Mentat-tree skills unlocked through contracts.

The quests move well beyond the trainers’ locations: the listed destinations include Arctus Cavern, Passage of Artemis, and the Wreck of Delphis in Sheol. The walkthrough was published July 3, 2025, and no patch-specific confirmation for the live September 2026 version is established here. Treat its quantities, objectives, unlocks, and rewards as a route reference rather than a guarantee that every step is unchanged; verify the active quest text in-game.
