This is not an official fix, and whether it still works on current game versions is unknown.
What causes the Houndfield elevator to get stuck?
A reported trigger is dying after riding the elevator in Houndfield Electrical Station. On reload, the gate may be shut and the elevator unavailable, preventing access to the switch and blocking station activation. Try the reported pipe-and-switch workaround
- Go to the Power Switch area and find the blue pipe beneath the switch. The reported route uses this pipe, not the blue pipe beneath the elevator.
- Grip the pipe and climb up toward the switch.
- While positioned on the pipe, repeatedly press your platform’s normal interact control until the switch flips.
- Use the interact control again to assign the switch, then check whether the station can be activated.
The workaround relies on a ceiling glitch that reportedly allows interaction with the switch from the pipe. The source does not give platform-specific button mappings or detailed route visuals, so use the control normally used to interact in your game.
Is this an official or guaranteed fix?
No. “Fixed” in the original guide’s title refers to its workaround, not a Techland patch. DroidWin said on February 15, 2022 that the developer had not acknowledged or patched the issue by that date. That is historical information only: the available sources do not establish current patch status, whether the bug can still be reproduced, or whether the glitch works on current builds.
