EA released an EA SPORTS FC 27 update on October 2, 2026, but its official patch notes identify it as Title Update v1.0.3, not Update 1.05. EA calls it a small bug-fix update, with fixes for Ultimate Team, The Grounds, Career Mode, and general issues. The notes describe no gameplay balance changes.
What EA Sports FC 27 Update 1.05 fixes
The “1.05” wording in the headline does not match EA’s official version label. EA’s October 2 article calls the release Title Update v1.0.3. Its listed changes are bug fixes plus one matchmaking reliability improvement.
Ultimate Team
- Fixed a Moments challenge loading screen issue that could, in some situations, require restarting the game.
- Addressed female managers appearing incorrectly in cutscenes.
- Fixed unintended match settings changing in Squad Battles.
The Grounds
- Improved matchmaking reliability.
- Addressed some five-star skill moves being unavailable in certain game modes.
- Fixed an issue that could leave players stuck on a wall during the Goal Control kickabout.
Career Mode
- Addressed cases in Manager Career where players requested transfers without previous messages or complaints, including when morale was high.
General, Audio, and Visual
- Updated some stadium themes, kits, and text.
- Addressed various possible stability issues.
- Fixed a case where transferring a player from the Club Transfers menu could duplicate that player.
These are EA’s descriptions of the issues and fixes; they do not establish that every affected player will see every issue resolved.
Does the October 2 patch change gameplay?
EA’s notes do not announce gameplay balance changes. The Grounds matchmaking reliability improvement is a service-quality change; the remaining listed items address specific bugs or presentation details. EA does not report an independent performance measurement or quantify matchmaking results.

Platforms and availability
EA lists FC 27 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The October 2 patch notes do not give a platform-by-platform rollout schedule, so they do not establish when the update became available on each system.
There is a separate mode restriction: EA’s news archive says The Grounds, including Clubs, is available only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. That restriction concerns the mode, not the availability of the update itself. Check EA’s FC 27 news archive for official news. EA also described a 10-hour EA Play trial with progress carrying into the full game in its September 25 launch release; neither an EA Play membership nor a new game purchase is stated as a patch requirement, and trial terms may change.
