There is no single best Faith-scaling weapon for every Elden Ring build. Some armaments scale with Faith innately; others gain Faith scaling when given Sacred or Flame Art affinity. The right pick depends on your Strength, Dexterity, and possibly Intelligence investment, the weapon class and moveset you want, and whether its damage type suits your target.
This is a build-aware shortlist, not a tested damage ranking. Scaling letters are rough guides, not a complete damage calculation: upgrades and affinities can change scaling, while base damage, requirements, and moveset also matter.
How to choose a Faith-scaling weapon
First distinguish an armament’s innate scaling from scaling added by an affinity. Unique weapons may have built-in Faith scaling and fixed skills or damage profiles. For many eligible infusible weapons, Sacred or Flame Art affinity can provide a Faith-oriented alternative. Sacred Blade can apply Sacred affinity to a broad range of eligible weapon classes; its projectile’s attack power scales with Faith and weapon upgrade level, and Sacred affinity further improves that Faith scaling.

- Pure Faith: Look for a weapon that does not demand substantial Strength or Dexterity investment. Cipher Pata is the clearest example in this list.
- Faith/Strength or Faith/Dexterity: Some weapons have meaningful requirements or damage contributions from those attributes. A high Faith scaling grade alone does not make them pure-Faith choices.
- Faith/Intelligence: Split-stat weapons ask you to divide attribute investment, rather than concentrating it all in Faith.
- Damage type and skill: Consider whether the weapon’s damage profile, reach, moveset, and skill suit the encounters you face. A weapon skill’s utility does not establish that it has the highest overall damage.
Exact requirements, scaling at a particular upgrade level, and acquisition details are not established here for most entries. Check the weapon’s in-game description and status screen before committing attributes; do not treat the order below as a universal ranking.

15 Faith-scaling weapons and setups, grouped by build fit
Pure-Faith and Faith-leaning options
- Cipher Pata — A direct pure-Faith option: it weighs zero, deals pure Holy damage, and scales only with Faith. Its Unblockable Blade skill cannot be guarded against. Its Holy-only profile is a meaningful limitation when an enemy matchup makes that damage type less useful.
- Coded Sword — A candidate pure-Faith straight sword for players who want that weapon class. Confirm its current requirements and acquisition in-game; this shortlist does not establish its precise stat thresholds or damage relative to other choices.
- Golden Epitaph — A Faith-oriented straight-sword candidate. Its buff skill and utility may suit a build that values support effects, but the available details here do not establish a damage ranking or exact requirements.
- Inseparable Sword — A Faith-leaning greatsword candidate. Consider it if you want a heavier moveset, while checking its build requirements and comparing its skill with alternatives in your own setup.
- Sacred Relic Sword — A late-game Faith-weapon candidate. It is not an early-progression answer; confirm its acquisition and the stat spread you intend to use before building around it.
Faith/Strength and Faith/Dexterity hybrids
- Blasphemous Blade — A candidate Faith/Strength hybrid for players who want a weapon-skill-centered option. Treat it as a hybrid commitment rather than assuming Faith alone determines its performance; verify its current requirements and acquisition.
- Godslayer’s Greatsword — A colossal sword that requires investment in Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. Its Faith contribution is described as its weakest contributor to overall Attack Power, so it is a poor fit for a framing that assumes Faith is the only important offensive stat. Queen’s Black Flame can hit hard and stagger, but its slow execution is a practical trade-off.
- Maliketh’s Black Blade — A Strength/Faith hybrid rather than a pure-Faith weapon. It leans more toward Strength until high Strength investment, and it cannot be buffed or infused. That fixed setup limits the flexibility available with an infusible weapon.
- Winged Scythe — A candidate Faith/Dexterity weapon for players drawn to scythes. Confirm its exact requirements, scaling, and acquisition before deciding how to split attributes.
- Halo Scythe — Another Faith/Dexterity scythe candidate. Check its skill utility and requirements against the Winged Scythe and your preferred play style rather than choosing by scaling letters alone.
- Black Knife — A Faith/Dexterity dagger candidate with a distinct skill. Its exact current requirements and skill details are not established here, so assess those in-game before investing.
- Blade of Calling — A Faith/Dexterity dagger candidate. Confirm its exact scaling and requirements; the available evidence does not establish it as a damage winner over other daggers.
Split-stat and customizable routes
- Golden Order Greatsword — A Faith/Intelligence hybrid candidate. Its split-stat commitment makes it more suitable to a character already investing in both attributes than to a pure-Faith plan.
- Erdsteel Dagger with Sacred affinity — A customizable candidate for a Faith build that wants a dagger. Sacred affinity is a Faith-oriented route for compatible weapons, but the specific damage interaction and comparison with Flame Art are not established here; check the resulting weapon stats in-game.
- Your preferred eligible infusible weapon with Sacred or Flame Art affinity — If a particular weapon class already fits your play style, an affinity route can be a better build fit than switching to a unique weapon. Sacred Blade works across many eligible classes and can provide a Sacred projectile and affinity. Confirm the weapon is compatible before planning around the Ash of War, since it has exclusions.
Why the highest Faith scaling grade is not an automatic winner
Scaling grades summarize how attributes affect a weapon; they do not reveal its full damage calculation. Upgrade level and affinity affect scaling, while base damage and the other attributes a weapon asks you to raise also matter. Moveset, reach, damage type, and skill use shape how practical a weapon is for a particular character. For example, Godslayer’s Greatsword has Faith scaling but calls for Strength and Dexterity investment, and its Faith contribution is noted as the weakest part of its overall Attack Power. Maliketh’s Black Blade is likewise better understood as a hybrid pick than as a low-investment pure-Faith weapon.
To compare two candidates fairly, check them at the upgrade level you can actually reach and with the attribute spread you plan to use. Include the weapon’s requirements, damage types, skill, and whether you can change its affinity or apply buffs. Without a controlled comparison at the same build and upgrade conditions, calling one option the universal damage winner would be misleading.
