Bandai Namco Europe’s version 1.17 notes, dated 27 August 2026, list reduced casting time for the Meteorite and Meteorite of Astel sorceries. That is a spell adjustment, not a stated buff to the Meteorite Staff. The notes also mention Carian Sorcery Sword, a distinct weapon, so that change should not be confused with a staff update (Bandai Namco Europe).
