To reach Starscourge Radahn, enter Altus Plateau and rest at a Site of Grace to activate the Radahn Festival. Then use the teleporter by the Impassable Greatbridge in Caelid, speak with Castellan Jerren at Redmane Castle, take the elevator from the chapel to the beach, and enter the large portal there to reach the Wailing Dunes.
How to activate the Radahn Festival
The simplest route is to reach Altus Plateau by any available path and rest at a Site of Grace there. Return to Redmane Castle afterward; the festival should be active. You do not need to complete Ranni’s questline to use this method. Bandai Namco’s guidance describes entering Altus Plateau and resting at a Grace as a festival trigger. [CIT-001]

Ranni-related progression is another route. Depending on your progress, continuing the Blaidd and Ranni information chain, or speaking with Jerren and Iji after beginning Ranni’s quest, can initiate the festival. Dialogue order can vary, so reaching Altus and resting there is the more straightforward option if your goal is just to unlock the fight. [CIT-001] [CIT-004] [CIT-005]
Steps to reach Starscourge Radahn
- Travel to Redmane Castle on the southern edge of Caelid. If the castle still has its ordinary hostile layout, activate the festival by resting at a Site of Grace in Altus Plateau, then return.
- Go to the Impassable Greatbridge Site of Grace and use the nearby teleporter to enter Redmane Castle during the festival.
- Head to the festival plaza and speak with Castellan Jerren, the announcer above the gate. Exhaust his festival dialogue and watch the introductory scene.
- Leave the plaza toward the chapel. Take the elevator on the chapel’s right side down to the coast.
- On the beach, enter the large sending gate. It transports you to the Wailing Dunes, where the Starscourge Radahn battle begins. Do not try to reach the arena by crossing the water. [CIT-002] [CIT-003]

If you cannot reach the fight
Why is the bridge teleporter inactive?
The festival trigger likely has not been completed. Rest at a Site of Grace in Altus Plateau and return to Redmane Castle. If you are using the Ranni route, continue the Blaidd, Iji, and related information chain until the festival is announced. [CIT-001] [CIT-002] [CIT-004]
Why are there enemies in Redmane Castle?
You are seeing the pre-festival layout. Activate the festival before searching the ordinary castle for a way to the boss, then return to the Impassable Greatbridge and use its teleporter. [CIT-002] [CIT-003]
Why can’t I start the fight from the plaza?
Speak with Castellan Jerren above the plaza gate and complete his speech. Then take the chapel route to the elevator and beach portal; the courtyard does not lead directly into the arena. [CIT-002]
What do I do when I reach the beach?
Enter the large sending gate on the beach. The beach is a staging area, not the arena itself; the gate takes you to the Wailing Dunes. [CIT-002]
About this Radahn fight
This route leads to Starscourge Radahn, the base-game demigod in Caelid. Promised Consort Radahn is a separate Shadow of the Erdtree encounter. Do I have to complete Ranni’s quest to fight Radahn?

Is the bridge teleporter the same as the beach portal?
