It is not an in-game setting or an official accessibility option, and its author warns players to use it offline only. The listing was last updated on March 5, 2022, so it does not establish whether the file works with current game versions.
What the 99-million-rune save offers
The Nexus Mods listing by Ashu1 is titled “Start Game With 99 Million Runes (not a new game plus ) Save File.” Its description says the file starts a completely new game rather than New Game Plus. This is a prepared save, not a way to generate runes during ordinary play. HotHardware reported on the save in March 2022, describing the 99 million as the starting balance supplied by the file. Read HotHardware’s report.
Why a large rune balance changes the early game
Runes act as both an experience-like progression resource and currency for purchases. Players primarily earn them by defeating enemies. When a player dies, carried runes are left at the death location and can be retrieved; if the player dies again before recovering them, HotHardware says they are lost for good. A large starting balance can therefore reduce the pressure of repeated losses and the effort of earning enough to level up or buy items. Whether that makes the game more enjoyable depends on how much challenge the player wants.

How to use the save—and the author’s warning
The mod description gives a Windows save-directory path and instructs users to play offline with EAC disabled. Its author warns: “This is only for OFFLINE play, do NOT go online with this, you will risk getting banned. Also make sure you have disabled your EAC.” This is the author’s warning on the listing, not an independently verified account of current enforcement policy. Treat it seriously, and do not take this save online.
The listing notes that video creators should credit the Psyken Gaming YouTube channel. The listing identifies Ashu1 as the uploader; those are separate attributions.
