To complete Dryleaf Dane’s quest, pick up the Monk’s Missive and “May the Best Win” gesture at Highroad Cross, use the gesture near Dane at Moorth Ruins to trigger his duel, then collect Dryleaf Arts and Dane’s Hat. Dane’s Footwork is a separate, later reward associated with an encounter in Enir-Ilim.
How to find Dryleaf Dane
At the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, collect the Monk’s Missive and the “May the Best Win” gesture. The note points you toward challenging the silent monk. For the opening steps and duel rewards, see PowerPyx’s Dryleaf Dane walkthrough.
How to duel Dryleaf Dane
- Travel to the area near the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace.
- Approach Dane and use “May the Best Win” while close to him. Speaking to him will not start the fight; the gesture initiates the duel.
- Defeat Dane, then collect the rewards near the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace.
Where to get Dryleaf Arts and Dane’s Hat
After winning the Moorth Ruins duel, collect Dryleaf Arts and Dane’s Hat near the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace. These are the rewards for this early encounter.
How to get Dane’s Footwork
Dane’s Footwork is a separate, later reward associated with the Leda group encounter in Enir-Ilim. It does not come from the Moorth Ruins duel. The available guides connect the reward to this later encounter but do not consistently establish the exact battle or NPC-outcome conditions, so the location alone should not be treated as a complete trigger condition. See Game8’s Dryleaf Dane guide and the Dane’s Footwork location guide.
