Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, waits in Castle Ensis, in the final chamber beyond the Castle-Lord’s Chamber Site of Grace. To beat her, avoid attacking into long combos, use recovery after her dash strings or Carian Sovereignty to heal or strike, and prepare to jump the shockwaves of her Twin Moons attack in the second phase.
Where to find Rellana
Castle Ensis is northeast of the Three Paths Cross Site of Grace. Continue through the castle past the Castle-Lord’s Chamber Site of Grace to reach Rellana’s arena, as described in Mobalytics’ Rellana guide.
If you have not entered the Realm of Shadow, Bandai Namco says you must first defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then interact with the arm extending from Miquella’s cocoon in Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum. How to handle Rellana’s first phase
Mobalytics describes the opening phase as a fast, aggressive mix of sword strings and glintblade pressure. Rellana can extend her combinations, so attacking before a string has ended can leave you caught in the next swing. Prioritize reading the sequence and staying out of range until she commits to a recovery.

- Do not trade through long combos. Wait for her sequence to finish rather than assuming an early opening will remain safe.
- Respond to delayed glintblades with movement. The guide suggests stepping to the side or rolling as they approach; neither is a guaranteed counter for every position or timing.
- Use recovery windows selectively. Mobalytics identifies recovery after dash attacks and Carian Sovereignty as possible chances to heal or punish. Take only the opening your distance and stamina allow.
Optional approach: parrying
If you are comfortable with parry timing, Mobalytics says most of Rellana’s sword attacks can be parried and recommends a Buckler with Carian Retaliation. The guide also cautions that not every Glintblade can be parried, so this is a timing-dependent option rather than a universal solution.
What changes in the second phase
Mobalytics describes the second phase as starting after Rellana has lost about 55% of her HP. Her attacks gain magic and fire effects, and she adds explosions and light-wave projectiles. The percentage is the guide’s estimate, not an official threshold.
Twin Moons shockwaves
For her Twin Moons attack, Mobalytics recommends jumping the shockwaves. Watch the attack’s timing and avoid committing to a long animation while the waves are still coming.
Empowered attacks and projectiles
Keep the same patient approach when her attacks are enhanced: avoid trading into a sequence, move laterally or roll to deal with delayed glintblades, and use a recovery only when you can safely reach her or heal. The added effects make premature attacks especially costly.
Preparation: blessings, level, and damage choices
Mobalytics recommends at least level 150 and Scadutree Blessing level 6. Those are recommendations from the guide, not entry requirements or official difficulty thresholds. If the fight is overwhelming, exploring for more Scadutree Fragments is a useful preparation option: Bandai Namco explains that Scadutree Blessings increase player attack power and damage negation in the Realm of Shadow.
Revered Spirit Ash Blessings improve Spirit Ash offense and defense in the Shadow Realm. The two blessing effects work at the same time; Bandai Namco states, “The blessings from both items are active at the same time, so there’s no need to choose which one to benefit from.” Official details appear in the Realm of Shadow guide and Bandai Namco’s Shadow Realm guide.
For damage, Mobalytics recommends slash, holy, or frostbite and advises against relying primarily on fire or bleed. The sources do not provide quantified resistance values, so treat these as matchup suggestions rather than proof that a particular weapon or status setup is best for every build.
