There is no single Faith weapon that is best for every build or matchup. For a Faith/Strength character that wants healing and a powerful fire skill, choose the Blasphemous Blade. For sweeping groups, the Sacred Relic Sword has a standout area skill. For a Faith-oriented weapon with a distinctive skill, the Winged Scythe is an option to consider before later-game choices. This is a role-based ranking, not a controlled damage leaderboard.
How this ranking works
A weapon’s value depends on its requirements, scaling, skill, damage type, and the enemies you face. The picks below are ranked by how clearly they serve particular needs—not by a universal damage result. Weapon scaling adds stat-based damage and improves with upgrades; compatible weapons can also have their scaling altered through Ashes of War and Whetblades. Bandai Namco’s guide identifies Faith-scaling landmarks at 20, 50, and 80, but these are diminishing-return guideposts, not a one-size-fits-all stat recipe: ELDEN RING Introduction Part 2 – Advanced Stats.
1. Blasphemous Blade: sustain and a Faith/Strength skill
The Blasphemous Blade is the strongest fit in this shortlist for players who want a weapon skill and healing utility together. Its Taker’s Flames attack uses Faith-linked fire attack power, and the reference documents healing when the skill hits and when nearby enemies are killed while the weapon is held. That combination can make it attractive for players who value sustain alongside damage.
Its tradeoff is the build investment: it is better suited to a character developing Strength as well as Faith than to one trying to spend almost everything on Faith. 2. Sacred Relic Sword: clearing groups with Wave of Gold
The Sacred Relic Sword earns its place for its Wave of Gold skill, which gives it a clear role in sweeping groups of enemies. If broad area coverage matters more to you than building around a healing skill, this is the more natural pick of the two.
Do not infer pure-Faith superiority from its golden look or skill. The consulted reference describes the sword as leaning strongly toward Dexterity, with Faith contributing more moderately. 3. Winged Scythe: a Faith-oriented weapon with a distinct skill
The Winged Scythe offers a recognizable Faith identity and the Angel’s Wings skill, making it a reasonable option to consider before later-game choices. It is not a free pass for a low-level, pure-Faith character, however: it also has Strength and Dexterity requirements. Check that those requirements fit your planned spread before investing in it.

4. A regular weapon with Sacred or Flame Art affinity: choose the moveset
If none of the featured weapons suits your preferred attacks, a compatible regular weapon with Sacred or Flame Art affinity can let you keep a familiar moveset while shifting scaling toward Faith. Sacred and Flame Art do not produce the same elemental profile. Split damage is checked against separate defenses, so the equipment screen’s combined attack rating alone cannot guarantee better performance against a particular enemy. If a target resists your current element, try the other affinity where your weapon and Ash of War allow it.

Compatible regular weapons can accept Ashes of War and affinities once you have the relevant Whetstone Knife or Whetblades. Some unique weapons keep a locked skill instead. Regular weapons use Smithing Stones; unique weapons generally use Somber Smithing Stones.
How to choose for your build
- Want healing utility and a Faith-linked fire skill? Favor the Blasphemous Blade if you are willing to invest in Strength as well as Faith.
- Need a skill for groups? Consider the Sacred Relic Sword, while accounting for its stronger Dexterity orientation.
- Want a Faith-oriented weapon with a distinctive skill? Check whether the Winged Scythe’s Strength and Dexterity requirements fit your level and stat plan.
- Already have a favorite moveset? Look for a compatible regular weapon and compare Sacred with Flame Art against the enemies you are facing.
For any pick, meet its requirements first, then compare the stat investment and upgrade path with your intended build. Scaling grades are not exact damage values, and upgrading a weapon affects its scaling.
