Release date, platforms and price
Focus Entertainment announced the February 2, 2027 release date for PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The publisher announced a price of $29.99 / €29.99; Steam’s full-game listing displays a $29.99 US preorder price. Regional pricing and preorder terms can change, so check the relevant storefront for the current offer.
Preorders include Vanguard Armor DLC, a cosmetic skin for Victus, according to Focus Entertainment’s October 1, 2026 announcement. The publisher estimates a 15–20-hour playthrough; its community FAQ says completionists may take up to 25 hours. These are publisher estimates, not independent playtime measurements.
How to try the free demo
The opening demo is available on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series. On Steam, it is presented as a 45–60-minute prologue: Victus retrieves Elta from a temple, explores the glacial world of Lerna, fights corrupted enemies with martial arts and magic, and faces Kan Loa’s Chosen.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
One important limitation: Steam says demo save data will not transfer to the full game. It also notes that the demo has adjustments relative to the full release, so it is an introduction rather than a promise that every detail will match the finished game.
Find the PC demo on the Steam demo listing; console players can look for the demo in the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store. Availability on all three platforms is confirmed by the publisher announcement.

What kind of game is Elta?
Afterburner Studios describes Elta as an action-platformer combining free-form melee combat, martial arts, magic, platforming and science-fiction exploration. You play Victus, a warrior monk searching for the lost dragon-god Elta. The studio calls its blend of brawler combat and nonlinear search-action exploration “brawlervania”; that is the developer’s shorthand, not a widely established genre category.
The adventure moves through three winding science-fiction worlds. Victus has three martial-arts stances and skill trees, alongside magic attacks and traversal abilities including double jump, dash, wall run and grapple. Elta’s abilities are intended to help in fights as well as open routes to places that were previously inaccessible. The demo’s Lerna section offers an early look at this mix, but not the full three-world journey.
