To solve the Queen’s Tomb puzzle in Enshrouded, activate all four buttons scattered through Mistbury Catacombs, then return to the central chamber and enter the opened gate. Loot the sarcophagus inside to complete the quest. Bring a ranged weapon, grappling hook, lockpick, and enough Shroud protection for the lower passages.
Where to find Mistbury Catacombs
The Queen’s Tomb is a Carpenter quest. The quest objective refers to the destination as Queen’s Catacombs, while the entrance is named Mistbury Catacombs. A Gamer Guides walkthrough, last updated May 22, 2024, places the dungeon north of Braelyn Bridge. Its described route crosses the bridge with a grappling hook, heads northeast past the Small Flint Mine, crosses a Shroud area, passes the Hill of Scavengers, and continues north to the entrance. This is the guide’s route description, not a newly verified map run.
What to bring and how to get inside
- Lockpick: The entrance’s wooden doors can be opened with a lockpick, broken with an axe, or destroyed with an explosive. A later metal gate on the route requires a lockpick; Gamer Guides lists its crafting cost as two Metal Scraps.
- Ranged weapon: Two buttons must be shot from a distance, and the guide recommends a ranged weapon for flying wraiths.
- Grappling hook: You need it to cross to the second button’s platform and reach the platform beside the fourth button.
- Shroud protection: The lower dungeon passes through the Shroud. Gamer Guides recommends protection lasting at least five minutes.
These item requirements and preparation details are reported by the guide updated May 22, 2024; the available evidence does not establish whether a later game update changed them.
How to activate all four buttons
Use the entrance and the central metal gate as your reference point. The gate has four indicators; each button you activate lights one. A separate Dot Esports walkthrough also describes the four-switch requirement for opening the sarcophagus room.

- First button — north/right passage: From the entrance, face the central gate, go down the steps, and turn north/right. Clear the enemies and pass through the wooden door. The first button is on the wall ahead; interact with it.
- Second button — northwest platform: Return to the upper path and take the northwest route by the large pillars. Find the grappling point above and cross to the opposite platform. Go upstairs and shoot the button on the opposite wall with your ranged weapon.
- Third button — Shroud passage: Return to the entrance and take the south stairs. At the bottom, enter the Shroud and follow the path northeast across the broken wooden bridge over lava. Turn north; shoot the button ahead from range.
- Fourth button — beyond the metal gate: Return to the entrance and follow the central path to its end. Deal with the flying wraith, go up the south stairs, and use a lockpick on the metal gate. Climb the platform just beyond it, grapple across to the opposite side, and interact with the fourth button. According to Gamer Guides, this button cannot be activated by shooting.
Open the gate and claim the reward
Return to the central chamber after activating all four buttons. Check that all four indicators are lit; the central gate should then be open. Enter and loot the sarcophagus to finish The Queen’s Tomb quest. Gamer Guides lists the reward as Pikemead’s Bulwark, a shield with +25 health, and 75 XP. Those are guide-reported in-game values, not independently verified against a later game version.

Gamer Guides says the dungeon resets if you log out, but not if you fast travel away. Treat this as guide-reported behavior rather than a guarantee for every current game version. If you leave partway through, returning without logging out may preserve your progress according to that guide.
