A separate preliminary plan reported in September covered the rest of the year. These were plans announced at the time—not confirmation that every feature arrived on schedule.
What the May 2024 roadmap covered
GINX reported that Battlestate Games published its summer roadmap through the official Tarkov account on X on May 31. The schedule covered June, July, and August, with items for both Escape from Tarkov (EFT) and EFT: Arena. The month-by-month list below reflects what was planned, not independently verified release outcomes.
June: progression links and game updates
The June plan emphasized connecting EFT and Arena progression. It listed synchronization of player level and experience, as well as skills and weapon mastering. Arena was also slated to receive a new trader, Ref; special in-game quests; and new PMC outfits at Ragman alongside unique items.
The EFT portion listed:
- Expansions and bonuses for Edge of Darkness (EoD) and The Unheard Edition.
- PvE matchmaking and AI improvements.
- Armor adjustments and balance changes.
- A purchasable PvE mode for all editions.
- Quality-of-life improvements and an in-game poll system.
GINX’s roadmap coverage lists these June plans and attributes the roadmap to Battlestate’s official X account.

A separate preliminary plan for the rest of 2024
On September 20, Insider Gaming reported a distinct, preliminary plan for the remainder of 2024, extending through patch 0.16.0.0. It explicitly noted that Battlestate had not provided specific dates. This later plan should not be treated as part of the May roadmap, which only covered the summer months.
The reported later-year plans included:
- Arena: a patch with a new mode and location, plus technical adjustments; later plans also included throwables, a battle pass, and a ranked-season system.
- EFT and Arena integration: further synchronization alongside EFT’s Unity 2022 update.
- EFT systems and seasonal changes: stash and Hideout interaction while matching, item locking, new mechanics, fall weather, weapons, and events.
- Year-end EFT patch: high-end content, weapons, and winter weather.
These were described as intended features, not confirmed delivery results. See Insider Gaming’s report on the preliminary plan.

How to read the roadmap announcements
The announcements answer what Battlestate intended to work on in 2024, but the cited coverage does not establish whether each item shipped, changed, or moved to a later update. The May plan had month-level groupings; the later plan was preliminary and had no specific dates. Treat the lists as historical snapshots of announced plans rather than a current schedule or a guarantee of release timing.
