Escape from Tarkov is getting a console version, Battlestate Games has confirmed, but the studio has not announced which consoles it will support or when the port will arrive. Studio head Nikita Buyanov has also described Scav Life as the game’s first post-launch DLC, with a Scav hideout, new activity areas, Scav-boss play and a new map among the planned features.
Is Escape from Tarkov coming to consoles?
Yes. Battlestate Games confirmed that a console port is in development. The studio’s October 17, 2025 Tokyo Game Show aftermovie identifies an interview with studio head Nikita Buyanov about the future of the Tarkov universe and the studio’s plans; October reporting on that announcement said the console version was in development.
That confirmation does not establish a launch lineup or schedule. The cited announcement coverage did not name supported consoles, a release window, a price, cross-play, or cross-progression. Treat those as unannounced rather than assuming the game is headed to any particular system.
What kind of console version is Battlestate planning?
Buyanov described the project as a port from PC, with an emphasis on port quality and adapting the controls. In a November 17, 2025 interview with Game*Spark / GameBusiness.jp, he said the studio wanted to optimize control mapping and was looking for a partner company to work on the port. The available reporting does not establish whether that partner search has since concluded.

The stated design aim is to preserve Tarkov’s demanding experience rather than make a simplified edition. In a December 24, 2025 interview report, Buyanov said the studio did not plan to add aim assist or simplify game features:
“I’m not sure that it would be a ‘lite’ version of EFT. The main goal is to create the same experience for the consoles, so there won’t be any kind of aim assist, any simplifiying of the gaming features.”

Buyanov described Scav Life as the first DLC planned after release. In the November 2025 interview, the proposed content included a small dedicated hideout, new activity areas, the opportunity to play as a Scav boss, and a new map. These are announced plans, not confirmation that the features have shipped or that the DLC has a release date.

Are other Escape from Tarkov DLCs planned?
A reported Q&A dated August 14, 2026 names two planned DLCs: Scav Life and Clan System. The source is a community transcription of Buyanov’s remarks, not a first-party announcement, and it gives no release dates. It therefore supports describing both as planned, but not treating either as available.
Steam’s Escape from Tarkov DLC listing includes digital expansions and currency offers. The cited listing does not establish a physical console edition and does not list Scav Life.

What has not been announced
- Which console platforms will receive the port
- A release date or window, price, or preorder details
- Whether console players will have cross-play or cross-progression
- Final control, performance, or feature specifications
- Release dates or final feature lists for Scav Life and Clan System
Until Battlestate publishes those details, the clearest distinction is between the confirmed development of a console port and the studio’s stated plans for its design and DLC. The platform, timing, and final content remain unspecified in the cited announcements.
