Escape from Tarkov’s map transitions are available in PvE, and Player Scavs were included when Battlestate Games expanded transitions to every raid in patch 0.15.2 on September 26, 2024. That was not the game’s latest update: later patches added a Lighthouse–Icebreaker link, changed transition XP progression, and fixed a transition-chain bug.
How map transitions work
A transition is a point that lets a player travel from one location to another. Patch 0.15.2 set its activation time to one minute after a raid began. The notes describe map-to-map travel options, not an automatic transfer, and do not establish the precise interaction steps for each point.
The 2024 change made transitions available in every raid and in PvE mode, and included Player Scavs. Its notes listed these new connections:

These are the connections listed as new in patch 0.15.2, not a guarantee that every listed route is currently enabled in every mode. The notes establish PvE support for transitions generally; they do not independently confirm the present PvE status of each route added later. Check the in-game map or a current route reference before planning around a specific connection. Later transition updates
Lighthouse and Icebreaker
Version 1.1.5.0, released September 8, 2026, added a transition point from Lighthouse to Icebreaker. Its notes also say Icebreaker could be accessed from Shoreline and Lighthouse. This is a later addition, not the origin of PvE-wide transitions. The update notes are reproduced by SteamDB.
Transition XP progression
The same update adjusted the XP multiplier for transitions: progression became more gradual, began lower for one or two transitions, and reached its previous values at 16 or more transitions. The notes do not provide enough detail here to infer exact XP amounts for each count.

Transition-chain availability fix
Update notes dated September 15, 2026 reported a fix for a bug that could make transitions unavailable after a series of transitions from other locations, followed by loss of progress on some tasks. That documents a specific fix; it does not establish that every transition bug has been resolved. See the patch-note mirror.

- Confirm the transition point and destination are currently available in your raid and mode.
- Allow for the one-minute activation interval documented in patch 0.15.2; later route-specific timing is not established by the cited notes.
- If a transition chain appears unavailable, account for the reported bug fix without assuming it rules out other issues.
