Salvation’s Standard-Bearers is the community reference name for the Everdark Balancers, the enhanced form of Weapon-Bequeathed Harmonia in Elden Ring Nightreign. You need The Forsaken Hollows DLC and must meet the game’s progression unlocks before you can take on the expedition. The fight starts with seven Standard-Bearers, then escalates into revivals and a worm that can unleash a dangerous bloom explosion.

How to unlock the Everdark Balancers

This encounter is DLC content, not part of the base game alone. Bandai Namco lists Elden Ring Nightreign and The Forsaken Hollows as separate product selections; the DLC adds Nightfarers, bosses, and a Shifting Earth. Check that you own the DLC for your platform before working through the unlock requirements. Bandai Namco’s official game page describes the product options.

Bandai Namco’s DLC unlock guide gives these prerequisites:

  • Win at least two main-game boss encounters, including Tricephalos.
  • Make both Scholar and Undertaker playable.
  • Go to the chapel that opens behind the Small Jar Merchant. Completing the unlock there opens the Great Hollows Shifting Earth event and the Balancers boss expedition.

What changes in the Sovereign fight

Bandai Namco introduced Everdark Sovereigns as stronger, limited-time forms with new moves and increased power. The publisher’s June 18, 2025 announcement described a weekly arrival cycle—“Every week, a new Everdark Sovereign will arrive in Limveld.”—and said a Sovereign leaves available Expeditions when its time is up. That announcement establishes the rotation model at the time, not whether Balancers are available on October 8, 2026 or when they will return. Check the live Expedition display in-game for current availability. Read the announcement.

The detailed move timings and thresholds below come from the community-maintained Eldenpedia reference, not personal playtesting or official developer documentation. Treat them as practical guidance and confirm them in-game: patches may change behavior. Eldenpedia’s Everdark Balancers reference describes an opening group fight against seven Standard-Bearers, followed—after the group is first defeated—by a more aggressive bloodied phase. In that phase, a defeated Standard-Bearer revives after a short timer with a permanent 7% attack buff, according to the reference.

How to handle the Standard-Bearers

The main group-phase danger is getting hit by an attacker outside your view. The community reference advises dividing the group’s attention and avoiding situations where several Balancers can surround the party. These are responses to individual attacks, not guarantees of a safe opening:

  • Swipes: Roll forward through a swipe flurry rather than retreating backward.
  • Grabs: Watch for the left arm extending upward and react to the grab.
  • Screams: Create distance; the scream builds blood loss and may flow into another attack.
  • Triple slam: Stay relatively close to the attacker while dodging each slam. The reference describes a possible blind spot near the angel on the third slam, but that detail may be patch-sensitive; do not rely on it as a guaranteed safe spot.

Individual Standard-Bearers have low poise, according to the reference, so parries or heavy-weapon hits can interrupt their combos. This is not evidence that one weapon or class is categorically best; no controlled comparison is established.

How to survive the worm and bloom

The group can merge into a large worm at 80%, 50%, and 20% health, according to the community reference. The worm uses ground attacks, shockwaves, and buds that build blood loss, then pauses to telegraph a powerful bloom explosion. The listed percentages are encounter mechanics from that reference, not independently tested values.

  1. Watch the transition and reposition. Be ready for the worm when the fight reaches a listed threshold. Its ground dives and weapon swings can send out shockwaves; the reference says these can be jumped.
  2. Use the pause to attack the belly clots. The reference says striking the blood clots from multiple angles deals damage and stance damage and may interrupt the bloom. Coordinate attacks rather than crowding into the same line.
  3. Retreat if the bloom is not interrupted. Once the worm pauses and telegraphs the explosion, get well outside its range if your team cannot stop it. Do not stay close hoping to trade through the blast.

If the fight continues for two minutes after the 20% transition without another worm appearance, the reference says the worm attack pattern repeats. Use that as a cue to remain prepared for another transition rather than assuming the last worm sequence was the final one.

Nightfarer options and status effects

The reference describes several useful class-specific tools, but none is presented as a universally best team composition:

  • Scholar: The Ultimate Art can replicate damage dealt to one Standard-Bearer across living members.
  • Executor: Can hit multiple targets and use deflections.
  • Wylder: Starts with a Buckler that can be used for parrying.
  • Duchess: The Ultimate Art can break aggro when the team is overwhelmed.

For Sleep, the reference warns that a proc may not visibly take effect until a long animation ends. Avoid hitting the target until Sleep is confirmed, or the ailment may be broken.

Rewards and patch context

Bandai Namco says defeating a Sovereign awards Sovereign Sigils, exchangeable for special Relics and other items; the first defeat grants additional Sigils. The publisher does not state an exact amount. The community reference lists The Will of Balance as the unique Relic reward for this encounter. The official Everdark announcement covers the Sigil reward system.

Balancers-specific fixes appear in Bandai Namco’s App Ver. 1.03.2 patch notes, which identify Regulation Ver. 1.03.4. The fixes address unintended enemy-skill positions, stalled combat progression, distant attack effects not rendering, high rendering load, unstable allied movement, and raid-event issues. These version labels identify that patch, not necessarily the current game version; check the title screen and later official notes for the installed build.
