Black Ops 6 Multiplayer has three Combat Specialties: Enforcer, Recon, and Strategist. To activate one, equip three perks of its color across your loadout. Enforcer rewards eliminations, Recon improves awareness and concealment, and Strategist favors objective play and equipment use.
How Combat Specialties work
Combat Specialties are passive bonuses activated by your perk choices. The launch instructions say to equip three perks of the same color—red, blue, or green—to activate the matching Specialty in a match. The launch description of Perk Greed says its fourth perk also counts toward earning a Specialty.

The official launch roster listed 21 perks, seven for each Specialty, spread across three perk slots. The perk levels below are the launch-era unlock levels, not a verified list of current live-game unlocks. Call of Duty’s October 18, 2024 launch article details the launch perks and bonuses; its August 27, 2024 Open Beta guide also explains the three-perk rule.
Enforcer (red)
Specialty bonus: Eliminating enemies temporarily increases movement speed and health regeneration rate.

Enforcer suits players who want their bonus tied to getting eliminations. Its perk pool includes mobility and sustain options, along with perks that support score-building.
Recon (blue)
Specialty bonus: After respawning, you can see enemies through walls for a short time. A HUD edge indicator flashes when an enemy is outside your view, and your eliminations leave no death skulls.

Choose Recon if information, stealth, and limiting what opponents can learn about your position matter more to your build. Its Specialty bonus offers information after respawning, while several of its perks help with detection or minimap awareness.
Strategist (green)
Specialty bonus: Awards bonus score for objectives and destroying enemy equipment, reveals enemy equipment through walls, and speeds equipment and Field Upgrade deployment.

Strategist is the objective- and equipment-focused option. Its bonus rewards playing around objectives and destroying enemy equipment, while its perks include defensive tools, equipment recharge, and Field Upgrade support.

- Recon: Choose it when post-respawn information, enemy indicators, or concealment best fit your approach.
- Strategist: Choose it when you focus on objectives, enemy equipment, and deploying your own equipment efficiently.
Before committing, check that the perks you want fit the three loadout slots and that you have unlocked them. The listed levels describe the launch roster; the official launch and Open Beta guides do not establish whether every perk, level, or effect remains unchanged after later updates.
